So the trolls have run out of material to rile people up so they resort to blatant racism? Makes sense. Anyhow, all this mess just makes me want to see a WTSU sweep even more.

I don’t think people mean to be transphobic. Many people find it very confusing and don’t know what to call these people. Nobodies told us what’s right and what’s wrong and when someone says something wrong they receive abuse

There’s a difference between accidentally misusing pronouns like him/her and deliberately using it to refer to Trans people. Any decent person knows that is disgusting. Being ignorant shouldn’t be an excuse. I think it’s perfectly clear how to refer to trans people and anyone who has made a little effort to understand this knows that as well.

Will you all please STOP quoting the posts by these trolls? Just click “Report Spam” and we’ll toss out the garbage. First off, you’re encouraging them with attention and, secondly, we must then go back and delete YOUR posts, too, because they include posts by the trolls. Just click REPORT SPAM and go on about your business, pls.

Riley and Luca can zap individual posts, but only I can zap the troll’s user account and all posts made by it. I can do that immediately after I get your spam notice — I get those alerts pronto. Let’s all work together and we can fix this fast and simple.

If Paul Dano wins the Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for Escape At Dannemora and that will be Dannemora’s only win. He Deserves it and I really hopes Dano takes home the trophy on Emmy Night.

I’m of such two minds with Dano. He was incredible in the show and I really wish he could win an award for it, but this might be one of the worst cases of category fraud I’ve ever seen. He is unequivically without a doubt a lead in this show, MAYBE a second lead to Arquette (although I’d argue there were episodes he was more of a lead) and definitely more of a lead than Del Toro. SO I just can’t bring myself to support him winning in supporting because he has such an advantage of being an undoubtable lead. He’s just the youngest and least established out of the three main actors, that’s it.

Further to the above on action that we are taking so that you all know, I want to add that Tom directly issued a final warning to Freddy back when people were last calling for him to go.

Please please try to get Phylicia Rashad, Kristin Scott Thomas, Emily Watson, Luke Kirby, Paul Dano, Ben Whishaw, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Sian Clifford, Anna Chulsmky, Anthony Carrigan, Gwen Christie, Lena Headey, Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer!

Daniel and Susan interviewed Phoebe Waller-Bridge this week, so that should be up next week.  (You are stuck with my interview with her about the first season in the meantime; click here to be taken directly to the part when her publicist steps in to tell us to wrap it up.)  Their interview with Sian Clifford went up this morning.  Rob already interviewed Anthony Carrigan this season.

And because I love talking about it, we do not have a new Jodie Comer interview, but that has not stopped the one that I did with her over a year ago from being Gold Derby’s most watched video in 2019; it will be overtaken soon by Rob’s interview with Jharrel Jerome. Tom’s four-year-old interview with Sam Heughan of course sits in third; these three have been viewed two to three times as much as anything else and together account for twelve percent of our YouTube views this year. Comer and Heughan were our top two of 2018, but only comprised five percent; they are also in our all-time top four.

Michelle and Sian interviews were great. Can’t wait to see PWB interview. Sooo much to talk about.

Just finished Fosse/Verdom and I think everybody is underestimating Sam Rockwell for Lead Actor. Michelle Williams deserve every single award in the world.

The Oscar needs to get rid of the preferential ballot so it can name a deserving movie as Best Picture again.

I also thought Rockwell was quite good. I heard such blah reviews for him but he really captures the spirit of Fosse.

I started watching Escape to Dannemora, The Act and Fosse/Verdon (and Succession) simultaneously and I like all of them a lot. I watched the first episode of Dannemora and then I watched the first of The Act and I was blown aways by Patricia Arquette, I completely forgot that she is the same actress, she is that good. Also, I felt in love with Michelle Williams’s performance since the first episode of F/V where she is more supporting to Rockwell, you were not exaggerating at all, she is a Goddess, but the same thing goes to Joey King, she does so much in the first episode of The Act, in my opinion, she is even better than Arquette, she is a revelation and has the hardest role of all of them, what an actress. I also loved Rockwell, he is very transformative, this role is so different form the bad/dumb/weird guys he is famous for. I watched A Very English Scandal recently and I never commented it here, but is also superb, Grant is so underappreciated, Whishaw is a master in showing vulnerability, their first sex scene is one for the ages, funny, dramatic and awkward all at once, like real life really…

I am so impress with Limited this year, we are lucky to live in an year with so much quality. For me Sharp Objects is the only one that is not gem. It will be difficult for voters, but I do not foresee a swept, the quality is too high, Chernobyl and WTSU are masterpieces, I love both of them.

Let’s hope they don’t do Michelle wrong. She was fantastic.

They can be so random in the Limited series categories sometimes (like when Regina King won over the other frontrunners).

I’ve now seen Dannemora, Chernobyl, When They See Us and Sharp Objects.

Dannemora and When They See Us are a class above Sharp Objects but Chernobyl is a class above all of them. Brilliantly made, astonishingly acted.

I really think voters who have watched the majority of limited series are going to go with Chernobyl. It’s just so obviously better than the others.

When the See Us was a very interesting story but a bit inconsistent with the quality. The first and fourth episodes were great, the third was boring.

    Haven’t seen Fosse/Verdon yet.

Darlings, I smell a Patricia Arquette or Amy Adams win.

Both Grant and Whishaw should easily win their categories, but A Very English Scandal has much less hype than the other limited nominees and I don’t think Amazon is pushing it that hard. A shame if neither is rewarded for such great work.
