She could’ve been petty and submitted herself anyway! People would still vote for her.

She really should have. She gave the best performance in WTSU and I’d’ve voted for her in spite of the scandal.

I’m so happy for When They See Us. So many surprises today! I was thinking that would be a win for Chernobyl, but now it’s very divided. Jharrel Jerome is likely to win.

I knew it, it is about visibility, when they have watched enough things that they like, they never use “name checks”. All categories here are incredibly strong, maybe the best year ever for this category. Waw! Put those categories last instead of Drama please!

    Where my Hot Zone at?

Where has always been – in the oblivion along with Connie Britton’s Bravo drama.

MOST NOMINATED LIMITED SERIES OR TV MOVIE (5 or more)
    Chernobyl 19
    Fosse/Verdon 17
    When They See Us 16
    Escape at Dannemora 12
    True Detective 9
    Deadwood 8
    Sharp Objects 8

Wow. Fosse gets more than WTSU and Dannemora. BUT IT HAS NO BUZZ!

    W Michelle is comin’ folks.

So you still think Fosse is a “niche” show.

LMAO love you Riley but you BLEW this one. Fosse was so up the industry’s ass come on, how did you underestimate it?

Catch-22 getting left out in the cold doesn’t surprise me. Despite the novel being hailed as a masterpiece of American literature, I could never get behind it, mainly due to the mean-spirited humor and illogical plot. For my full thoughts on the novel, check this thread here. https://www.goldderby.com/forum/general-discussion/beloved-novels-that-you-hate/

Plus, if the original film that featured a top director and all-star cast couldn’t get a single Oscar nomination, then I had a feeling a TV remake wouldn’t do a lot better. Some novel adaptations just don’t catch on with Hollywood, at least in terms of awards, and Catch-22 is clearly one of them.

Chernobyl has across the board noms ie support so it’s winning Series.

Half of WTSU’s noms are in acting so it probably wins at least 1 acting likely Jerome (still hoping for Harris though).
