I like what Riley said a while ago about this being a drama version of Silicon Valley, I think the writers and directors can keep it in contention.

Ugh, by the time that nominations rolled around, I expected so much more for it, yet it ended up being closer to Silicon Valley than I could have imagined. Both got basically the same five nominations for their first seasons: Series, Writing for the finale, Directing for the pilot, a Main Title nomination and another Creative Arts nomination. I am concerned that there is similarly just no passion for Succession because it seems super strong in four of its five categories, but that kind of thing pretty much never happens.

I do think though that it is best positioned to repeat its Drama Series nomination out of the first-time nominees this year—and probably even the returning nominees that we have this year. By the way, Veep’s performance this year bodes poorly for Silicon Valley next year.

    It’ll probably be dropped entirely.

I indeed think the same but Silicon Valley has never faced internal competition. Obviously, Big Little Lies and Westworld will be the priorities for HBO, and they might even decide on a new freshman show.

For a while it was only Silicon Valley and Veep for HBO in comedy. They did not have other shows as major contenders for comedy series. Big Little Lies and Westworld will fill the HBO slot.

Agatha Curtin submitted as TV Movie and Doctor Who’s Christmas special’s have been submitted as TV Movie before.

I would imagine Gavin and Stacey would be eligible as well. Hoping it gets nominated.

I mean it’ll be the final season anyway.

Yes but better a different series is nominated than it taking a space at all.

    DRAMA SUPPORTING ACTOR

    1. David Harbour, Stranger Things
    2. Dacre Montgomery, Stranger Things
    3. Aaron Paul, Westworld
    4. Noah Schnapp, Stranger Things
    5. Adam Scott, Big Little Lies
    6. Mandy Patinkin, Homeland

I like all the Stranger Things noms in this category, but I think only Harbour will get in, and I think Joseph Fiennes might get in instead of Montgomery.

For Stranger Things, I think they need to push Millie and Winona (criminally underrated) for lead actress and Finn and David for lead actor. Putting them all in Supporting will cause more havoc and less noms. Just an opinion, since Game of Thrones did that for Kit and Emilia and there were more noms as a result.

I like all the Stranger Things noms in this category, but I think only Harbour will get in, and I think Joseph Fiennes might get in instead of Montgomery.

I think Noah will be snubbed (he didn’t do much in Season 3 save for the third episode, shame) but Dacre won’t.

This is not going to happen, but I think Joe Keery needs to be considered as well for an Emmy, as well as Maya Hawke, especially for the bathroom scene.

Oscars 2020: I stan Joaquin Phoenix, Alan Silvestri, and Dean Deblois.

Emmys 2020: I stan Logan Lerman, Olivia Colman, and David Harbour.

Tom Hanks and Amy Adams stan in general.
