Euphoria is a high-brow hybrid of Riverdale and 13 Reasons Why. Make of that what you will. Personally, I find the only things of worth to note to be Zendaya, the directing, cinematography, and music supervision, but they don’t 100% deserve nominations, except for the latter. “Overrated” is too loose of a word to describe this show.

Speaking of 13 Reasons Why, the season 3 trailer reminds me of the Pretty Little Liars intro lol.

Euphoria is amazing and the carnival episode (episode 4) is outstanding, incredible directing and cinematography. I really started to be a Zendaya’s stan. One of the biggest surpises of the year.

There are no threads for it and I doubt it’ll be ready for 2020 but I’ll share this anyway:

Tiffany Haddish will join Octavia Spencer in the upcoming Madam CJ Walker miniseries. She has been cast as Walker’s daughter. Carmen Ejogo will also star.

I hope next year D’Arcy Carden is at least able to snag a nomination since TGP is ending. Her not receiving a nom this year hurt and discourages me from thinking she can get in next year. However, hopefully Janet gets good Season 4 material so she’ll be able to get in.

A bit late on this, but the Emmys’ enmity and white-hot resentment towards The Good Place is going to be awful hard to overcome/change minds. Their only acting nominations have been Danson and Rudolph. The broadcast network comedy is an endangered species with ATAS. This will go the way of Buffy, Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls – spectacular TV that got jobbed at every single turn.

Hope Kristen Bell is nominated for the last season of The Good Place!

A meteor will hit Earth before that happens. She must’ve been quite the raging diva in a prior life. Bad enough that Angela Lansbury got nominated for 19 years and never won. But at least she got nominated, which is now 14 years snubbed and counting for KB.

    Veronica Mars: 0 nominations

Gilmore Girls: 0 nominations above the line

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: 1 nomination above the line
    – Writing

The Good Place: 6 nominations above the line so far
    – Series
    – Writing
    – Lead Actor
    – Guest Actress

Yep, these situations are really comparable.  You can see how each was jobbed at every single turn.

You’re beyond delusional at this point. White-hot resentment for a Comedy Series nominated show makes no sense at all. Why nominated it at all? If anything, the Emmys have resentment for a show like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, a show that only gotten stunt casting nominations despite being on for 13 seasons.

Big fan of Better Call Saul, Sex Education, Barry, BoJack Horseman, and, especially, Survivor

Actually it looks like it’s set to launch in 2020. Looks like Octavia Spencer is getting double-nominated next year.

I hope they realize how stupid Baldwin’s win was for playing Trump and don’t nominate him again.
