Chernobyl aired on Mondays, the new limited series Our Boys will premiere today and have great reviews. The prestigious The Deuce will return on Mondays.

From what I’m observing Mondays became the place for international productions and/or one-and-dones (My Brilliant Friend, Gentleman Jack, Chernobyl, Years & Years, Our Boys, His Dark Materials) and shows without awards pontential where they can end their runs quietly (Divorce, The Deuce).
If HBO lacks believe in Mrs Fletcher, it will end up airing on Mondays rather that Sundays.

IT is wishfull thinking but i really hope for a julie Dretzin nomination next year for the handmaids tale. She was better than strahovski and certainly Dowd. Don’t get why everyone is predictinf Dowd as the sole supporting actress for handmaids tale. She feels very absent from this season safe for her backstory which was not as awards baity as i had thought. If they HD dretzin in less episodes she could have gone for guest actress.

Julie Dretzin is actually eligible as guest, so she’s locked for a nomination. She has appeared in 6 episodes out of 13.

My Brilliant Friend aired half its first season on Sundays.

I actually think this is easily Dowd’s best season; episodes 4 and 8 are real showcases for her. But I agree that Dretzin should be nominated, and thankfully she’ll be eligible in guest.

It being on an Apple doesn’t help it either. It’s service is supposed to be launching before the end of the year and (unlike Disney+, a fellow giant company with consumer emotional branding) it’s still not announced a pricing scheme yet.

If I was them I would have the service free to consumers that already paid subscribers to Apple Music (28 million, as of April 2018, 2 million more than Spotify), similar to Amazon Prime.

I think the only way it flops is because of Apple. I think it’ll be critically acclaimed and I’m happy it’s leaning for more towards drama than comedy as there’s issues they could really highlight, but I’m afraid that it will be under-seen, despite the absurdly good cast, because it’s Apple.
