https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/euphoria-renewed-second-season-at-hbo-1219147 SEASON 2 IS HAPPENING!!! (apologies to all those who said it and Zendaya would flop)
I am fine with this. The last episode was entertaining. Definitely more balanced in tone than the rest.July 19, 2019 at 1:50 pm #1202985618
I watched episodes 2 and 3 and this show is so compellingly bad, yet visually stunning that I don’t want to stop watching. Zendaya partially proved me wrong, she’s decent in this. Good for her, she’ll be Globe nominee in December.July 22, 2019 at 11:59 am #1202990152
Episode four was everything. So intense and thrilling.July 22, 2019 at 5:10 pm #1202990708
I honestly really continue to enjoy and be impressed by this show. Zendaya is having quite the moment and she carries the show really well. This week was a particularly strong episode for Hunter Schafer and Sydney Sweeney. The visual flair really keeps you hooked, but I’m also enjoying seeing where these stories are going. As we build to an end here, I’m worried about Rue relapsing and how much worse Nate can get. I’m hoping we don’t get something too predictably tragic, but it has to build to something bad.July 22, 2019 at 7:22 pm #1202990852
I definitely had the lamest high school years compared to these kids.
Fucking hate that jock villain. I hope all those dick pics are projected from his phone to the whole school lol. Maddy is such a dumbass.

The latest episode reminded me this remarkable performance. Or is it just me?July 29, 2019 at 4:05 am #1203000598
So many characters feel one-note and cliched, so I am hoping we get some more layers with them moving forward. Some plots still feel so unnecessary, like McKay as a whole. What is his purpose? He’s in college, so he’s not even around much. I’m sure we will get a backstory episode with him, but 4 episodes in is a little too long to have a character with a subplot that doesn’t tie in much with the central story.
Rue, Jules, and Nate continue to be the most interesting characters in the series, but we are definitely entering Riverdale territory with the whole “catfish/blackmail” combination with Nate and Jules. Did he seriously catfish her because she was with his dad? How did he even know they were together? Does he actually like her? There’s just so much left unanswered and I can’t tell if it poor writing or purposeful.
This is my “favorite” kind of posts, people complaining because they are not prestining any kind of attention… Nate’s dad videotapes all his sex encounters and Nate watches all of them after that, this is how he knew about Jules and his dad. Nate is an incredibly complex character and the writing of the show is very smart, it makes you question him yourself instead of giving you simple answers.
The are ZERO one-note and cliched characters, if you do not see the layers, it is on you.
The McKay comment makes zero sense, there is not central story, this is a character driven show. McKay is here as a representation of all the men that are full of complexes and insecurities, because they do not feel good enough, manly enough, successful enough, all the men who often humiliates girls to feel better about themselves, all the men who found itself to be heroes when they have sex with different persons, but judge the women that do the same.July 29, 2019 at 4:31 am #1203000609
I binge-watched the first 6 episodes in the last days and i am officially calling the show – masterpiece. This is the first time I see my experience and the experiences of my friends on screen. I am shocked to see how many people full of prejudices have commented about the show here. I am especially appalled about the denying of the perfect depiction of what is the life of a teenager in the era of the Internet, the show perfectly shows that all teens are not the same, it seems that you are watching a different show… Lexi is the perfect example of a smart and good girl who is constantly misunderstood. Jules have a lot of sexual experience, but hasn’t done drugs or alcohol. Rue has a lot of experience with substances, but almost a zero sexual one. So the lacking of layers is here on the comments, not in the show.
All the people claiming that the acting or the writing are not good need a reality check, at least in my opinion, but come on. Especially the person calling Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow and Jacob Elordi bad actors… What?! Demie is explosive and a natural talent with a very strong presence, Apatow is subtle and acts with many subtle details and Elordi is a revelation, big things are waiting for him.
The acting is superb, the writing is superb, the directing and the cinematography are out of this world. The psychology of all the characters is incredibly complex. Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney (already very strong on The Handmaid’s Tale and with her debut in Tarantino’s film she is going to shine for year to come) and Barbie Ferreira have given an already iconic performances. Algee Smith (brilliant in Detroit), Austin Abrams (captivating and memorable during the last season of The Americans) and Angus Cloud (incredibly natural in his first ever acting role) are standouts as well.
Leonardo DiCaprio said 3 days ago that is his favorite show and that is amazing, Rosalia is constantly recommending the show, Thandie Newton is a huge fan, the show is going to be big, with awards or without them, this is going to be part of pop culture and be described as iconic for many years from now. It humiliated Big Little Lies BIG. It is so curios that Euphoria and Chernobyl are the huge successes for HBO and Game of Thrones and Big Little Lies (although I liked it, but I did not not love it) the huge let downs…July 29, 2019 at 3:17 pm #1203001468
Who is that?
Lily Rabe in American Horror Story: Asylum. You should really check that season if you haven’t, you’ll be blown away. Sarah Paulson is Sarah Paulson today because of this season.
Btw, the directing in this week’s episode was impeccable. First the carnival episode and now this, Sam Levinson should easily be nominated.July 29, 2019 at 3:36 pm #1203001489
Yes Zendaya is amazing, absolutely carries the show, a real star making performance, but that’s obvious so I also just want to say I cannot take my eyes of Sydney Sweeney. It’s such a sweet, vulnerable performance that is miles away from her religious fervor on The Handmaids Tale or her aggressive teenage nonchalance in Sharp Objects. She’s going to be someone to watch, and wouldn’t be opposed to her getting in the supporting actress conversation (although unlikely)August 4, 2019 at 8:43 pm #1203010630
Stream All of Us – Labirinth feat Zendaya on all plataforms.August 4, 2019 at 11:51 pm #1203010813
This series is extraordinary. Nothing like it on tv.August 5, 2019 at 9:45 am #1203011330
I didn’t like the season finale. It was too ambiguous to make an impression, at least for Rue’s arc.August 5, 2019 at 10:08 am #1203011354
I can’t tell how I feel about the finale/the music video…but Zendaya in those final scenes….fucking wow. Seriously incredible. That shot of her as Jules gets on the train…incredible….
I didn’t want it to come to this but I think I’m stanning Zendaya. #GetZendayaEmmyNom2020!!
