The previous thread was lost during the clean up so I thought about creating a new one. I watched the first season a few months ago and it’s a great show, it really stuck with me, especially that twist/cliffhanger.
Anyway, Evil has moved from CBS to Paramount+ and Season 2 is coming in 5 days on June 20. The trailer looks spectacular and there’s also this Promo.

Michael Emerson absolutely deserved a nomination for the first season. I’m also a big fan of the show’s tone.

So excited. The Kings really knocked it out of the park again with this one. And you’re right, the new promos look super promising and like it’s gonna get even better. Having this and The Good Fight premiere so close to each other is a gift. I’m also currently watching their Spectrum show, The Bite, from last month, which I’m really enjoying. It truly is a Kings-themed June. Anyone not watching the shows from these two are truly missing out. Can’t wait!

Not just Michael but Katja Herbes is great in this show too. She give a very captivanting and charismatic performance. Can’t wait for season 2.

Was this still slated for CBS before they made the move or did they make it before Paramount + was confirmed? I enjoyed the first season and even then I felt like it could move in to some darker and more adult content if it didn’t have network confines. I really enjoyed season 1.

I agree, Emerson was great. Super creepy. Enjoy the Colter/Herbers chemistry too.

Aghh I want to watch this and I resent the fact we are still on the crappy Australian version of CBS All Access til August and probably won’t get it.

Michael Emerson is killing it in the season opener, seems to be having so much fun with his outlaaandish character!

There really isn’t anyone as great as the duo of Robert & Michelle King, eager to see where they take their characters this season.

FYC: "This Is Us", "The Good Fight", "Severance" & "Hacks" in all categories.

Juliette Lewis ("Yellowjackets "), Mandy Moore ("This Is Us"), Kavyan Novak ("What We Do In The Shadows "), Edie Falco ("Impeachment: American Crime Story"), Drew Tarver & Heléne Yorke ("The Other Two")

OMG, this is how you do a premiere!!! The writing and directing were superb. Katja Herbers was the MVP imo, she owns every scene she’s in and Michael Emerson was so fucking scary, that last scene with him in the webcam gave me chills!! We still have 12 more episodes but I already love this season

I LOVE THIS SHOW! Hands down the most underrated and well written show on any streaming platform. Robert & Michelle King…I worship at your alter. Thank you Paramount+ for what is sure to be a wild ride with some great, great, great performances.

The premiere was already good but this week episode, “A is for Angel”, was one of my favorites episodes of the show.

Can’t wait til I get this in Sydney. I loved the first season and I would really like it to get in somewhere, even if it’s Critic’s Choice again.

I finally caught up with the new episodes – I wanted to rewatch the first season since it has been a minute – and have been really enjoying it! I love the character work they’re doing in this second season, especially with Kristin, Leland, and Sheryl. I’m glad they ran with the cliffhanger from last season and it wasn’t some clever misdirect. It has really raised the stakes of the series in an exciting way.

You can tell that the Kings wrote this week’s “Elevator” episode, because it was the best of the new ones so far. Really fascinating and scary case and great storylines for Ben and David. Wonderfully directed by Alethea Jones, too. This is the first episodic “investigation” this season that I felt really invested in, although the “Angel” episode had a terrific reveal at the end, too. That’s not so much a criticism as a reflection of an appropriate shift in emphasis to the season-long arcs they’re building, which are very strong. Great to see Dylan Baker, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Andrea Martin, and Patrick Page pop up as guests.
