Anything and everything Westworld, Survivor, This Is Us, and The Handmaid’s Tale. Most of all, seeing Steven Universe once again nominated warms my heart. I also love the amazing surprises of finally being able to say “Emmy-nominated actress” Kristen Schaal (the Emmys owe her BIG for Gravity Falls!) and to say “Emmy-nominated series Bojack Horseman” all at once! Dee Bradley Baker has always been hilarious as Klaus on American Dad, and I am beyond thrilled to see him recognized! Even though I was wrong that The Americans’ Leads would get snubbed, I was right that the show would get snubbed in Series, so you could say that any of the Drama Series nominees (even House of Cards shitty 5th season) is a “favorite nominee” simply for taking what could have been The Americans’ slot. 😉

Also, HOLY SHIT Westworld was nominated for Ramin Djawadi’s instant-classic, gets stuck-in-your-head Main Title Theme Music! I will literally go on YouTube a lot of the time and listen to that exact theme over and over again! He should have won this category for Game of Thrones, so now he hopefully will get his long overdue Emmy win! Stranger Things is my actual prediction to win Main Title Theme Music though, and while it is my 2nd favorite in the category, I still want Westworld to win because its theme is so much more memorable.

HBO has 110 nominations this year while Netflix has 91. HBO’s nominations are decreasing every year and I don’t think this is a result of declining quality but rather more parity among some of the the networks (or at least cable/streaming networks). There’s a growing percentage of high quality televisions programs that you can find today on networks such as Netflix and FX among others. With that being said, do you guys think it’s possible for HBO to lose its streak as the most nominated television network to Netflix (or any other network) within the next few years?

    David S. Pumpkins

Don’t you also mean, “David S. Pimpkins?” From when Tom Hanks cameoed in in the SNL finale too? 😉 LOL, I think he will win easily, with Hugh Laurie the only contender that could possibly upset.
