“Sharp Objects” is rightfully where it belongs in Limited Series. In another year, it could have won outright.

When I first saw it in May I truly thought that nothing could top it given how weak Limited has been these past few years.

Sharp Objects really was the best series of 2018. If it was released in time for last year’s Emmys, it probably would’ve swept.

I knew Sharp Objects was never winning, it was released way too early. Which is a shame.

I guess the competitiveness has been weak until this year, but we’ve had ACS, American Crime, Fargo, Big Little Lies, The Night Of, Wolf Hall and Olive Kitteridge in recent years, all of which were at the level of nominated dramas.

I’m personally also really tired of seeing Amy Adams lead all the online polls when she probably gives the 4th best performance in this year’s Emmys line-up.

As it’s been said over and over again Chernobyl is a worldwide culutral phenomenon. When it loses on Sunday there’s gonna be a huge shitstorm all over the internet around the world. People are not gonna take it easy.

Don’t worry, it’ll pull through. Although put me on suicide watch if Ava wins directing.

I don’t know. WTSU is just as loved as Chernobyl.

Not only that, but Amy Adams would’ve won Limited Series/TV Movie Actress outright. Hell, maybe even Eliza Scanlen would’ve received her deserved nomination.

I haven’t seen evidence of that. Not saying it’s not true, but everywhere I look Chernobyl seems to be more popular.

    General question-
Is the Casting+Directing wins pair-up consistent in Limited Series as well? Or it’s only a Drama Series coincidence thing

A limited series hasn’t won casting and directing without winning limited series in this century. And in this decade the 2 categories have matched every year expect when Mildred beat Downton Abbey for casting and The Night Manager won directing, but that was due to vote splitting.

And people shouldn’t take it easy. A cultural and worldwide phenomenon like Chernobyl doesn’t come along too often. It should sweep the Limited Categories but it won’t because Hollywood has to teach Trump a lesson.

I stan Joey King. She’s so genuinely excited, it’s adorable. And she so, so deserves this nomination, which makes all of it so great!

She’s rooting for Patty (Dannemora), Jharrel Jerome (WTSU) or Jared Harris (Chernobyl) and Paul Dano (Dannemora).

Jerome is winning. I mean, everyone has sung their praises for his work.

Darlings, I’m hating myself so much. I had a holy vision. WTSU is winning over Chernobyl. I saw it. SJW are going to be happy.

I was your Prime Minister once.
