I stan Joey King. She’s so genuinely excited, it’s adorable. And she so, so deserves this nomination, which makes all of it so great! She’s rooting for Patty (Dannemora), Jharrel Jerome (WTSU) or Jared Harris (Chernobyl) and Paul Dano (Dannemora). Jerome is winning. I mean, everyone has sung their praises for his work.

It would be really awkward if she said she was rooting for somebody else than Patricia. But yeah she’s extremely adorable and i hope she has more projects like The Act in the future. She’s really talented.

Yeah, I have no doubt about this. Just saw Sterling K. Brown’s praises to him, and omg he was so passionate about it.

Yes Jharrel is winning, the others were excellent too but no passion behind them whatsoever.

The thing is, while this is all true, does that really match up to Jerome’s performance to the extent that you’d support Harris over him? To me, the only justifications are that he’s overdue after missing for The Crown and The Terror, and that Jerome is supporting until the last episode (and doesn’t ‘anchor’ the show in the same way Harris does). Because Jerome is undeniable based on the performance itself.

No, he’s just better than Jerome. And Jerome is probably supporting. People don’t seem to appreciate subtle acting.

No one is denying that Harris gave a masterful performance, but subtle doesn’t equal automatically better. Isn’t it possible that people appreciated the subtle complexities of Harris’ performance yet still thought that Jerome was better?

Pretty clear that some prefer Harris and others prefer Jerome…is there really a need to reach agreement on who is better because that ain’t ever happening on this forum lol

I’ve changed my prediction from Jerome to Harris at the last second. I feel like Harris’ goodwill from other projects will carry him through.

I think there’s going to be public backlash regardless of which way the Chernobyl-WTSU races go. I just hope this forum doesn’t descend into the ignorance that I fear reddit will.

Yes , youre EXACTLY  right  ..WTSU will win cos Hollywood needs to teach Trump a lesson ; it has a huge political advantage over Chernobyl

I think people are so underestimating him. He’s waaaay overdue, a past nominee and in a show that got EIGHT acting nods. Plus, he has the performance. I am predicting him as well. In the past, he’s always suffered from being in a #3-#5 show, but WTSU is now at least in the top 2.

He should have multiple Emmys already for The Wire.

I think Williams can win out in Supporting Actor as well. The voter passion seems to be between WTSU and Chernobyl, and while I don’t think either is winning in a sweep, I do think they will dominate the main show.

Watch Jerome and Williams win Acting, Duvernay win Directing, Chernobyl win Writing and Series.

Does anyone here think that Chernobyl can win Directing and WTSU can win Writing?
