Michelle Williams is STUNNING, my god I’m tempted to watch this show now.
Nash is also so, so good in her clip. I’m glad she got a very deserving nomination for this. And I agree, this is not a bad clip for King, her body language is fascinating.
6. Adams (wtf was that clip?)September 12, 2019 at 11:34 am #1203071270

Darlings, I hated Fatty Arquette’s clip. But she’s winning. Dancer Williams is really good and so is Shapy Adams.
LENA HEADEY hasn't got an Emmy for Game of Thrones????? Emmys you need to win her right now!!
If Lena Headey doesn't win the Emmy, I'm leaving GoldDerby forever.September 12, 2019 at 11:45 am #1203071288
Ok, this is probably the strongest category of the year and these are the clips they gave these actresses? Williams & Nash had perfect one, but anyone who’s actually seen The Act, Sharp Objects and Escape at Dannemora knows that those clips were horrendous. I mean, come on. King should have had the teeth scene, Arquette the heart attack scene and Adams the scene in the clothes store. Ugh.
Emmy voters must bend the knee to Lena Headey & Emilia Clarke for "Game of Thrones." It's their last chance to award them. Make it happen.September 12, 2019 at 1:36 pm #1203071470
Supporting Actress-Comedy is a bloodbath too.September 12, 2019 at 1:41 pm #1203071487

Well the rightful winner is either Clifford or Gilpin. The most boring winner will be a Colman post Oscar glow name-check since they’re so in love with her there in Tinseltown. Alex Borstein will be a middle ground. I don’t think any of the rest is happening.September 12, 2019 at 1:59 pm #1203071513
Alright, my real ranking:
- Adams (the phone call in Falling or clothing store was a no-brainer)
I might as well be picking the clips out for them because, god, these people do not know what they’re doing. If they could butcher up this category, then they’re going to do the same for Lead Actress Drama.September 12, 2019 at 2:17 pm #1203071560
Reliving again that Niecy Nash scene made my heart broke.
September 12, 2019 at 4:37 pm #1203071816
- Michelle Williams
- Niecy Nash
- Amy Adams
- Patricia Arquette
- Aunjanue Ellis
- Joey King
They really made Joey King seem like one of the weakest in the category when she’s actually one of the strongest, smh.September 16, 2019 at 1:33 am #1203079490
WTSU can take all the acting awards, I don’t care. But Chernobyl must win Best Miniseries. That’s the only category I care for.September 16, 2019 at 1:47 am #1203079511
As I said before, I switched to WTSU all Limited Series categories except Directing. I think Directors’ Branch will give Chernobyl its only win of the night. Oh, well.September 16, 2019 at 1:50 am #1203079520
I actually think WTSU will win directing because they will want to award Ava Duvernay.September 16, 2019 at 1:57 am #1203079538
Actually I think WTSU is the most likely in Directing, of all things. I can see Chernobyl snatching Writing and Limited Series
FYC: Lena Headey ("Game of Thrones") for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, Miguel Sapochnik (“Game of Thrones”) for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series
