I cannot wait!! Queen Viola is coming.

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.

So I guess no one other than Viola has been cast yet?

I read the show will also focus on Eleanor Roosevelt and Betty Ford – so I’m curious to see who they cast for those roles.

I personally would’ve liked to see Regina King as Michelle Obama. I feel like she’d have been a better fit. I’m guessing Viola Davis will be good though. Given the fact that Davis is around the same age as the woman she’s playing, I’m guessing it’ll all take place around the time that Obama was in office.

Not to be the negative one, but I think this will flop.

Wonder how they’d handle category placements, if this is any good, considering it seems the show will focus on those three first ladies pretty equally. I do think this could potentially flop too, though.

I am not really interested in this because 1) it’s Showtime and

    That’s really my main reservation.

Off the top of my head I think their last critically well regarded drama was…Homeland?

I suggest you to watch Escape at Dannemora, Patrick Melrose, On Becoming a God in Central Florida and Back to Life. They are all Showtime shows with critical acclaim.

People already sh*tting on Davis before this starts – I’m not surprised (here). Well, you better get ready, because she’s going to slay. She’s said that this project is very important to her because she knows her peeps won’t forgive her if she messes up playing Michelle Obama. She said this in an interview a few months ago on Kimmel.

I actually recently saw a movie of hers where she cried n didn’t snot. Can’t remember what movie it was but I remember thinking “no snot” . So she is capable of crying without it.

But…none of those are drama series?
