This project will have a huge buzz once Davis wins the Oscar.

January 21, 2021 at 1:53 pm #1203995029I’m curious to know who’s gonna be the third one now. They got pretty big names.

January 21, 2021 at 2:29 pm #1203995064Amazing news! Can’t wait for this! Since they’ve released new casting information, I’d imagine this will start filming by spring, or the latest, summer!
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 21, 2021 at 4:24 pm #1203995212Meh. Viola Davis can’t really be playing somebody as current as Michelle Obama. Everyone knows how she talks, moves, stares, jokes, mannerisms and so on. They look nothing alike and Viola Davis is just too Viola Davis for a real life person. She barely got away with it with Ma Rainey’s because there’s like one picture of her.
Some people can’t be playing current real life people. For example: George Clooney, Emma Stone, Denzel, Viola Davis, Jennifer Lawrence/Aniston, and many others who are just too…them.

The ridiculous and hypocrisy of this probably doesn’t even make sense to even yourself, let alone anyone else. But you tried it..

I thought Froseth was outstanding in the underseen Looking for Alaska so really excited to see this.
That said, I am curious as to how this show is gonna be splitting not only three first ladies but also three first ladies over a large chunk of their lives…I’m hopeful but it sounds really prone to being overstuffed and unfocused. The article notes that Froseth recurs in three episodes and Lawson is a regular

January 28, 2021 at 12:34 am #1204006197They must be very close to starting filming since they’re dropping so much casting information.
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 8, 2021 at 3:18 pm #1204031912Cherry Jones would be great for Eleanor.
If they were 10 years younger (guess they’ll be playing pre-First Lady), Kathy Bates or Sally Field too.
Will be nice to see a show about 50+ women that isn’t from R*an M*rphy
