Lily Rabe finally getting the material she deserves away from Ryan Murphy, who does not know how to utilise her talent, is so so so pleasing to me. Her overdue Emmy nomination and win is coming.

Sister Mary Eunice (Asylum) and Misty Day (Coven) were incredible roles for her and she was robbed of Emmy noms for both.

Showtime is putting everything into this show, huh? It’ll be so disappointing if this ends up not being good.

I’m really curious about how this season will go and how it will handle so many characters in 10 or so episodes. Most of these supporting actors (except for the main three of course) won’t have much material, hopefully Lily isn’t one of them.  It’s very frustrating that SAG doesn’t have the limited series ensemble category. The First Lady is the new Mrs America in that sense.

So Showtime is trying to become a thing again huh. I spoke to the creator of On Becoming a God in Central Florida after the show got renewed and then canceled and he told me that Showtime was basically investing all its energy (this was a year ago) into the Dexter and L Word reboots. Neither of which seem to me a promising way for Showtime to make a comeback because it’s all but vanished. The other day I told a bunch of friends that Showtime used to try and rival HBO in its hey-day and they were really surprised so I started naming shows and they were all like “wait we thought those were all HBO shows” LOL

    FYC:
Picture: The Power of the Dog, Passing, The Lost Daughter
    Director: Jane Campion, Rebecca Hall
    Actor: Benedict Cumberbatch
    Actress: Tessa Thompson, Olivia Colman
Supporting Actress: Kirsten Dunst, Ruth Negga, Dakota Johnson, Jessie Buckley
Supporting Actor: Kodi Smit-McPhee, Jesse Plemons

This show is so crowded, a lot of our favorites won’t have much to do

Yeah I also feel like they are definitely trying to revive their brand with this. I’m still skeptical about it, but if it’s well done I think it’s a Series contender, not just acting wise. It might actually be between this and Impeachment.

The casting branch might as well go ahead and grant them their nomination now! What a big miss SAG doesn’t honor ensemble. WHY?!

Well, last year they tried to be a thing again with 3 limited series and only one was exceptional (and i mean really exceptional). But with all that boring trash around it, i shouldn’t be shocked that TGLB ended up as it did at awards.

Hennies I had absolutely no idea about the existence of this show until day before yesterday and I cannot believe I had been living under a rock all this while with SUCH AN INSANE CASTING already in place?!?! Showtime legit needs to get this pitch perfect, please AAAH!

As someone duly posted this before, the casting director really did deliver us gays with what we truly need and we’re all here for it lmao, AMEN.
