This was surprisingly funny. It was stupid at points and it dragged a bit, definitely flawed, but the pilot was at least enjoyable. The best jokes of the episode were the masturbation jokes.

Watched the entire thing in about a day and a half. It was really a lot better than I expected it to be. For me, the stand out character was Wolf and the only disappointing thing to me was that we didn’t really get to see Eliza Coupe be funny that much. Her character was too serious for me, considering her sizeable comedy chops.

I also binged this and grew to like it a lot more as the season went on and it leaned into its weirdness. No real acting standouts, but Wolf was definitely the best character. There were some pacing issues which meant some episodes were jam-packed and others were less fun. Without a doubt, though, the best episode was the one at James Cameron’s house. I howled the whole episode. It was definitely set up for a season two and I wouldn’t hate that at all.

I just finished bingeing this and it was a lot of fun. Consistently hilarious and dirty but unafraid of deepening its characters or poking at some interesting themes. Also, the second half of the season was so emotionally rewarding, which I definitely didn’t expect while watching the pilot.

The best episode of the season was definitely the James Cameron one. If there were any justice in the awards world, Derek Wilson would be nominated for everything possible.

I’ve been catching up and this show is really innovative and hilarious. Wilson and Coupe are amazing and should be in the award conversations. Awkwafina is hilarious in her limited role.

Finished the show. I really liked it. Wilson and Coupe deserve Emmy nominations. The James Cameron episode should be nominated for writing. It’ll be snubbed though unfortunately.
