I think What has been the problem with the Lst 2 seasons (not for me i still love it though i see the flaws) is that they didn’t have the guidance of GRRM to put all this characters together. daenerys has still not arrived in westeros in the books. She en Jons storyline have always been seperate from all the other storylines. These other storylines were always Weaven in with eachother (kingslanding, riverlands, reach winterfell) and that for me was the heart of the show. But When daenerys en Jon become the main characters they just didn’t quite connected to the game of thrones that was always played throughout the first 5 seasons. And because no one guided them through How this should all come together in a way they did all the characters Justice, they wrote themselves into a corner. Btw i disagree with that in season 7 cersei should have already died and season8 should have been all About the white walkers. Cause If that was the case season 8 would just be the Jon and daenerys Story because none of the other characters except for Bran would have been very useful here and also all the intrigue of people betraying eachother and that kind of actions would not exist Then. This should have just been 10 episodes

    My queen.

    That shot is gorgeous.

Emmy voters must bend the knee to Lena Headey & Emilia Clarke for "Game of Thrones." It's their last chance to award them. Make it happen.

Three-time Emmy winner Jonathan Freeman shot this episode… I think they want to win that category too, for the first time.
    They just shouldn’t over-submit

So now there’s a petition of thousands of crybabies demanding a new season 8 with other writers. This is exactly what I’m talking about when I say that the backlash is completely exaggerated now

At this point I wouldn’t even be surprised if D&D started receiving angry letters and death threats or something. Sigh

A great article on van Houten’s chances – apologies if you’ve already posted this @luca I’ve only just seen it. https://www.goldderby.com/article/2019/carice-van-houten-game-of-thrones-melisandre-emmy-drama-guest-actress/

Hopefully HBO/Carice’s team take note of this buzz and submit her.

Lol I remember the HoC fans basically doing the same thing when that Spacey vid came out in December (talking about petitions, hoping it meant that he was being rehired, season 6 redone, blaming Rapp again, etc), so I’m not that shocked at a bunch of Game of Thrones fans are doing it too to get rid of D&D.

Thank you so much 🙂 I really hope HBO is smart and submits her!

Hopefully HBO/Carice’s team take note of this buzz and submit her.

While HBO only submitted her once, Carice has been submitting herself for years (save for last year), so I’m sure she’ll end up on the ballot either way.

Even though im even not so sure about the Drama Series category anymore , I choose not to rule out the possibility of D&D for the Writing category as of yet.

David and Dan perhaps had their ups and downs throughout the season and they did get their share of valid criticism when it was due, but as far as the Academy is concerened (and not the twitter keyboard warriors), they do know how to pull a pretty well rounded season finales. Putting the entire “D&D” internet meme aside, if the series finale will have enough emotional impact and will give a closure vibe half as good as the Dragon and the Wolf, I can see actually script-writers maybe voting for it. Hopefully.

I’m interested in what year HBO deemed her role big enough to submit her themselves. I still don’t understand why they cut so much of her material at the wall. She should’ve been able to really dominate season 5 for example. I think she was guest eligible for seasons 2, 4 and obviously 7.

I really hope they don’t. Everyone worked harder than them. If anything, they come off as really pompous and confused (if that’s even a combination) in the “Game Revealed” BTS

One of them is always looking down, could be shyness, could be shame lol

I’m actually a little bit annoyed thinking how the entire cast and crew must feel after they worked so hard for over a year for these 6 episodes just to see these ungrateful idiots “demanding” they’d do it all over again.

But yeah, the entire thing is practically a joke at this point. Now more than ever I hope everyone will get exactly what they deserve from the Academy and industry.
