Do you guys think that D&D rushed this season to work on SW which has a 2021 release date if im not wrong ??

Or is twitter just throwing more hate at them

They definitely did. HBO wanted more episodes/seasons (which meant more money for them) but they declined and came up with the limited episode count. A Star Wars paycheck and moving on from a series that they’ve been tied down to for over a decade was probably the better offer for them. Granted that’s no excuse to rush a series that has given you mass acclaim and ruin that future job opportunity.

Edit: I guess I need to clarify that they rushed the story.

How could they have been rushed? They spent two years making six episodes. This theory lacks logic.

Even if they worked on it for two years, this season is the definition of rushed. Turning material that, on the pace of the previous seasons, would’ve taken 2 seasons with 10 episodes each into 6 is pretty rushed.

That is why I said lol.

You literally quoted their sentence about twitter hate. Nothing to do about the rushing of the season.

The storytelling feeling rushed and the showrunners rushing to deliver the show in time are different things.

There’s clearly a misunderstanding here because I was talking about the rushing of the season/show’s storytelling, not the actual production process.

There were too many stupid moments in the last episode (not even regarding Dany) for me to count, especially when you put 8×04 and 8×05 together, but at the end of the day this series will remain in my top 5 just because I spent so much fucking time on it and many people poured their artistic vision into those unforgettable episodes from days past.

That being said, I’ve done my rounds and the backlash is REAL and, yes, there will be ratings but this season is the definition of a cheesy Hollywood product. God bless Emília, though. And I love Sandor (his more emotional moments always got me), definitely a top 5 character.

Is anyone actually rooting for any character at this point? (Quick survey)

Ranking the seasons from most favorite to least:
    Season 4
    Season 3
Season 6 (thanks to BoB & TWoW)
    Season 1
    Season 2
    Season 5
    Season 7
Season 8 (the finale won’t change anything as I’ve read all the spoilers and it’s a tragic mess that everyone will hate though there’s still one thing yet to come I’m so EXCITED about.)

Anyways, to get away from talking about D&D, here’s a reminder that this queen is going to win her Emmy in a few months:

If Rigg never won for her at least iconic Olenna, then I doubt there’s support for Carice to pull off a win.

Yes, because all her acting is reduced to one-liners. I have to laugh at a bad attempt to shade Queen Rigg

Diana Rigg at least knew how to deliver lines perfectly unlike other actors..

All Samira Wiley had in THT S2 was a crying scene in the episode she submitted.
