Carice is sadly ineligible for the Emmys. I contacted her management and while they were eager to submit her, they did not make the May 6th submission deadline.

Damn. Her episode aired 4/28/19 and was perfectly eligible. Epic management blunder.

Two days to end this… who would’ve thought it would all end in this sea of memes? I will keep giving a shoutout to the supporting characters who really gave us good moments in every episode: 801: John Bradley 802: Gwendoline 803: Carice 804: Jacob Anderson 805: Rory McCaan (That moment with Arya was classic GoT) Bitches, the cast does deserve SAG.

Season 8 is already iconic, no matter the hate and negativity. No other TV show can set the Internet on fire like GOT does

Ugh. She’s literally the highlight of this season

Honestly I feel guilty. I should’ve contacted them immediately after the episode and made sure Carice was submitted. I think they must’ve assumed the submission deadline was the same as the eligibility deadline (May 31st). Otherwise yes it was just a blunder.

I can’t believe van Houten is now ineligible; it sort of infuriates me that they didn’t submit her early enough. I wrote that article honestly believing she could win, what a shame. This is Lange vs. Jones then, I guess.

I have a feeling Rashad could be easily snubbed. TIU didn’t get any guest actresses in last year despite submitting Emmy favorites Elizabeth Perkins and Kate Burton, as well as known quantity Pam Grier. So don’t be shocked if Rashad misses.

If it ends up being Lange vs. Cherry Jones (Handmaid’s), then I am undoubtedly team Lange. Jones really didn’t do anything in “Holly.” Her one scene is great and quite emotional, but Lange stole the season with that one episode.

And legend Cicely Tyson should also be up there in the top 3.

Wow, if The Handmaid’s Tale steals another guest actress award from an absolute worthy nominee for the same season it will suck

Lange deserves this so much more than Jones.

If Christie hasn’t submitted herself (she probably hasn’t) there’s basically no excitement in the GOT acting races. The core cast will all be nominated (give or take Harrington) and Dinklage will be the only winner. Boring.

Nah sis, if anyone’s to blame it’s definitely HBO. They really dropped the ball on their submissions this year, especially when they’ve known after all these years of submitting Diana Rigg that Carice was eligible and it would’ve been an easy nom for them. Their other submissions (well, lack there of) also highlight this. Them not even telling her the deadline in case she wanted to submit herself is also tragic.

“No user starts this shady” - someone culturally relevant.

But we already knew HBO are dumb. I should’ve contacted them sooner – the reason I didn’t was because they’ve submitted her on multiple occasions before so I assumed they’d do so again.

If you can’t already tell, I’m so annoyed! This was the one thing that excited me about the drama categories this year.

This meme perfectly shows how pretty much everything minus the writing has been on point this season
