I still don’t get what was so wrong about the Cersei’s death scene. Seems to me that Cerse’s fans (including Lena Heady) would found more appropriate to watch her being roasted by Drogon, that was something I’d liked to have happen to Jaime as atonement for all of his un-redeemable sins… Jaime deserved a horrible death not the poetic one he got dying along with her sister-lover.

I didn’t mind it either. I would just prefer not to see Tyrion go look for them and show us that 2 steps to the right there was not a single brick and they basically could have survived. It was on purpose so Tyrion could have been mad at Dany, the writing was just laughable yet it’s getting Emmy nominated later today.

Jaime should’ve been killed by Arya or Jon for betraying the North and then Arya should’ve used his face to kill Cersei. It would’ve fulfilled the prophecy and would’ve been 100x better than what we got. D&D just tried too hard this season to diverge from exceptions but that would’ve made sense.

You want Arya to kill the Night King, Jaime and Cersei? I don’t think that would have worked.

Well, Arya should never have killed the Night King. It should’ve been Jon. End of story. I don’t care if Jaime died in the Battle of Winterfell or someone else besides Arya killed him but I definitely think Arya should’ve killed Cersei using Jaime’s face. Since in the prophecy it said her younger brother would kill her and that would’ve been one hell of a twist. ANNNND she would’ve been actually been able to use her face swapping powers one last time. They never showed the point of all of that training. It would’ve wrapped things up better imo.

There’s no valonqar prophercy in the show. Plus the prophercy makes no sense in the show anyway because they gave Cersei a fourth child in season 1 and forgot about it lol.

That child had black hair and he was stillborn.  She still had three children of golden hair which was in the show.

Yeah it makes no sense why people are upset that Jaime didn’t kill Cersei when they literally made a conscious decision to not include that part of the prophecy in the show. Like, obviously that wasn’t going to happen.

Too bad it’s for “The Iron Throne” instead of “The Long Night” or “The Bells”

Jonathan Freeman is a very appreaciated cinematographer in the Academy, I think he has a very good chance finally. Also the final episodes had some very iconic shots I still see everywhere on the internet

I’m really curious as to how many acting wins this season could pull off since it was the acting branch that seems to have pushed it over the edge. Dinklage is the only lock but Van Houten’s hurdle was the nomination and she’s top 2 imo, Clarke could pull it off with her massive amount of support this year, and Lena/Maisie could too if Shaw gets the least amount of votes.

I have a feeling it’ll win directing even with those 3 nominations, along with writing.
