None of these except “A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms” deserves to be in the top 65.

The Long Night is in my top 10.

I’d say that The Long Night is definitely in the Top 10 of my favorite episodes, maybe Top 5. It was an amazing episode with the suspense, cinematography, acting, and directing at its best, and Melisandre’s death was one of the best episode endings in the series.

Exactly. I think never in my life I fell so many emotions watch anything. I cried so much in the final sequence.

i had goosebumps watching melisandre’s death. I remember i applaused after the episode ended. Never before had i done that on this show. That episode was just absolutely amazing

Except writing and editing. If you think it deserves to be in the top 10, you don’t have enough appreciation for earlier Game of Thrones episodes.

Who cares about writing in a battle? The episode was the only one I enjoyed from this season.

That’s more than a few strange choices.

Agree and I not talking only about season 8 episodes positions. But the most absurd are people in the comments “so I think IMDB don’t matter to you” LOL

Can we talk about how The Winds of Winter wasn’t number one on that list, but eight, and The Lion and the Rose was at the top lol? I mean TLTR is a great episode, gave us Joffrey’s death, and deserves a top 10 spot (maybe three/five) but number one? I won’t even start with the individuals ranting in the comment section trying to get people to sign that ridiculous petition.

Why do I believe the show does not deserve all that hate? Because writing is not everything. You can’t be objective and rate the season 1/10 just beacuse bad writing. The Directing was 10/10, the acting was 10/10, the cinematography, Editing, visuals, sound, music all 10/10. I see those elements and they outweighs the poor wiriting. Example: Mad Max: Fury Road – basically no writing and script, yet they movie is a masterpiece on Directing, visuals etc. For me GOT S8 is the same. Yes the wirting at best this season was 6.5/10. But every other aspect of the season was 10/10. This is enough to be the best for me. At the Emmys why should not Game of Thrones win Drama? It will sweep all tech categories, it has THE best directing of all contenders with The Long Night, it has an winning performance by Dinklage, and even maybe Williams. So a show that wins 7-10 creative arts Emmys, wins Directing and an acting Emmy, does not deserve to win Drama Series, beacuse it’s not in Writing? Sorry, but no.

Not all fields are equal. Television has actually deemed that writers are the most important, seeing as they double as showrunners. We variably see shows and movies like Spotlight, Homeland, The Departed and The Office win the top prize with small nomination tallies. Nobody cares that they were snubbed for something like best costumes. Nobody even says that they were snubbed. They all had the support in writing though.

I was floored last year by Westworld‘s technical prowess and few wins have made me happier than Thandie Newton’s, yet I probably would have ranked it last personally out of the Outstanding Drama Series nominees because I have perhaps never been more confused while watching a show, which is mostly on the writing. Great television is a great story told well. What we have here with the final season of Game of Thrones is a crap story told well.

The more I think about this season, only one episode isnt great The Last of the Starks. The other five are great INDIVIDUALLY. But when you put them together the entire season falls apart. The first half to me is nearly perfect and the second half of the season kind of ruins the legacy of the show. I think six episodes would have been enough if D&D had decided the Night King to win in episode 3. If that had happened the three remaining episodes wouldnt have suffered at least as much from the seasons truncated length. If they wanted to do only six more episodes they should have changed the story and the characters arcs accordingly.

Yeah. I loved the first three episodes. “A Knight of Seven Kingdom” and “Long Night” are terrific. I would love a post apocalypse situation in the last three episodes, with our beloved characters surviving the powerful NK winter (episode 4) and defeating Cersei (episode 5) and NK (episode 6).

With the Night King winning the Battle of Winterfell the surviving characters would need to run to Kings Landing trying to gain the support of Cersei against the dead. The pacing would be rushed but it would have fitted the narrative. Then I dont know if it would be better to have Cersei join the fight or have a similar battle to that of The Bells. Either way the series finale would be the final battle maybe just for the first half and then the aftermath. The major problems wouldnt exist

The documentary was absolutely heartwarming. They all did such an incredible job, my God. I am really glad this aired a week after the series finale, which let me cool down a bit and process everything I’d seen. Emilia is just so dedicated and such a genuinely nice person! I loved how emotional Kit got; that table read was everything. My favorite part though has to be the makeup designer lady who got emotional about not seeing her child for so long & the extra who was so, so excited to be on the show.

Now I feel like I can properly say goodbye.

Emmy voters must bend the knee to Lena Headey & Emilia Clarke for "Game of Thrones." It's their last chance to award them. Make it happen.

Andy McClay deserve a role in BloodMoon

The Oscar needs to get rid of the preferential ballot so it can name a deserving movie as Best Picture again.
