GoT is done on TV but I’m sure there will be an after life in movie theaters, just like Sex & The City, Downton Abbey and The Sopranos. Everybody that is important survived and Drogon took Dany to Essos, so un 5 or 10 years we will be back to Westeros.

The Oscar needs to get rid of the preferential ballot so it can name a deserving movie as Best Picture again.

Can someone give me a link to the documentary? Is it actually online at all?

Top 3 meme of the season lol. Baby Drogon is my heart. If limp D can be brought back to be a glorified extra for the last season why not the lady who made this show so famous? I am still also pissed for the lack of Cersei this season. They did both major ladies diiiirty.

BTW, the documentary was nice. I even got a blast from the past with Sophie Ellis Bextor. And while Daenerys was tossed aside, Emilia remains the cast member with the better press and the biggest support after the finale. Life can be funny.

George R.R. Martin Says His Books’ Ending Will Be Similar and Different From Game of Thrones

I’m confused, but hopefully whatever ending it is, I’m sure Martin will do a good job writing it and won’t feature dragons laughably killed by “supervillains” Cersei and Euron. After all, he himself has stated that it is practically impossible for dragons to be killed by scorpions.

There’s a lot of Dragons killed over the run of the Dance of Dragons.

Book Euron is really more of a super-villain though. He has a supposed horn that can control dragons. He is even more sinister and evil than Ramsay and Joffrey combined.

Many things that happened in the finale are very Martin style. But this is my problem. If you don’t have the books why finish your show in a similar way?

I’m shocked over the fact that Kit Harington has checked himself into rehab. I wonder if this will have any implications on his career going forward.

I’m honestly not surprised, mainly because when I see something in the news about him outside of the show it’s usually alcohol-related, and he had a pretty heavy plate the week of the premiere that resulted in panic attacks. Being the face of the biggest show in the world and open to criticism like that is a lot to handle. It’s pretty sad but hopefully he has a speedy recovery and is alright.

They can end in a similar way but not the same way, judging by where the things are in the books there are things that happened in the show that are unlikely to happen in the books like Cersei becoming Queen. Three or four years ago in one of the Comic Com panels (IIRC) GRRM said that before the ending of the books several people will take The Iron Throne (at the time Tommen was/is King in the Books), also based on Daenerys visions she will fight a King that looks a lot like one character that never appeared in the show and that at the end of book 5 looks like he’ll take The Iron Throne next.

??? The guy broke his ankle in a drunken mishap right before season three and they had to completely rearrange the shoot to accommodate his injury. His issues with alcohol and infidelity have been mostly mopped up (mostly) but not totally— the stories are out there. Reminds me of Hamm going into rehab when Mad Men ended.
