Game of Thrones begins production on its final season in October and will continue into the spring (or aummer) of next year HBO has not announced if the show will return in 2018 or, quite possibly, 2019.

The Directors team: David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik will be back. The rumour is that Nutter will direct two and Sapochnik three. Dan and David will direct the final episode.

The Writers team: David Hill writted the premiere, Bryan Crogman the second, Dan and David the last four.

Dan and David will direct the final episode.

That is kinda stupid cause they are not good at all but whatever keeps their egos happy I guess

Game of Thrones: The Final Season Has an Insanely Huge Budget

According to a new report from Variety, the final six episodes of Game of Thrones will cost a staggering $15 million apiece—and we’ve heard the real budget may actually be much, much higher than that.

the final six episodes of Thrones will all reportedly be feature-length. The longest episode of the series to date, the Season 7 finale, clocked in at just shy of 80 minutes—and each episode of the final season would be even longer than that.

THIS. But it could also be that they want to keep the ending as secret as possible (still doesn’t explain why THEY have to do it).

Glad Sapochnik is back. He’ll elevate whatever trash writing is handed to him at the very least.
And apparently D&D have previously directed an episode each (S03e03 and S04e01), I honestly thought they hadn’t. So I guess I’m less worried about them directing the finale now

David and Dan both directed a previous episode each and did solid work, so I don’t see why it’s a bad thing they’re choosing to direct the finale themselves.

Walk of Punishment and Two Swords directed by D&D were great episodes.

Yeah but are they the directors to give us a Felina, Everybody’s Waiting, The Wrath of the Lamb or The Book of Nora type finale?

Please, don’t make a happy ending. I want everyone to fucking die.

This year I stan: Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga, Joanna Kulig, Sam Elliott and Toni Collette (at the moment).

So Mark Mylod got the Jeremy Podeswa treatment, where they decided that directing the last three seasons was enough. But why no Alan Taylor? He has nothing coming up. The episodes are extra long this time too, so Miguel Sapochnik has quite the workload with three.

Hopefully David Benioff and D.B. Weiss can convince the DGA that they are a bona fide directing team this time. The other times that they have co-directed, only one received official credit each time; they alternated. This happens on other shows with showrunning pairs and most infamously resulted in Joel Coen taking sole directing credit for two decades on the Coen brothers’ films, while Ethan Coen took sole producing credit.

Benioff & Weiss directing the series finale is pretty gross, but Sapochnik returning is all that matters really.

    UPTADES:
    – table read will be taking place over two days. The cast will be reading 3 episodes of season 8 this coming Sunday, and then they’ll finish the remaining 3 episodes the next day.
    – They’ll begin filming October 16th.
    – Production for season 8 will be using only one filming unit instead of two, as has been the tradition since the first season
    – The filming probably gonna end next summer.

Could this get a fall release, or will they just go back to spring?
