Season 5 premieres a month later than normally on Feb. 21 at 10 pmOctober 29, 2015 at 12:17 pm #364299
Weird that it’s starting in February – what’s causing the programming delays at HBO? What will air in January? Will it cause Veep and Silicon Valley to start after April now? WHAT ABOUT THE LOOKING MOVIE?!?!
So many questions!October 29, 2015 at 7:30 pm #364300
I was under the impression they would start the new season the same night as the Golden Globes like they did seasons 2 3 & 4.December 2, 2015 at 4:35 pm #364302
Here for the mess that is likely to be Marnie’s wedding day.December 3, 2015 at 1:14 pm #364303
I’m here for that Marnie makeup disaster.January 6, 2016 at 8:28 pm #364304
Season 6 is the last season of “Girls”.

I’d say that by the time it closes its doors, ‘Girls’ will have had a solid run, 2012-2017 isn’t bad for a little HBO comedy.January 7, 2016 at 4:20 pm #364306
Aw well everyone is starting to get big for the show. If only Allison Williams and Zosia Mamet could be as successful as Dunham on their ownFebruary 21, 2016 at 11:44 am #364307
“Girls” returns tonight!February 22, 2016 at 12:52 pm #364308
Season 5 episode 1 was pretty good! Simultaneously low-key and cringeworthy (in a good way) – the GIRLS are growing up!February 23, 2016 at 11:14 am #364309
That was a nice opener. Loved Bridgett Everett as the hair stylist! It looks like Andrew Rannells is going to have an actual arc this season so I’m excited for that! I can’t wait for more Jake Lacy scenes tooFebruary 23, 2016 at 11:25 am #364310
More Andrew Rannells forever and everFebruary 23, 2016 at 4:32 pm #364311
Very fun episode! The wedding planner was hysterical.February 24, 2016 at 10:16 pm #364312
Our girls are growing up! Excellent premiere! This is the most “mature” I’ve seen the foursome behave, and the wedding day conceit was great. Lena Dunham did a killer job writing and directing this episode. Of course, Marnie is a Bridezilla. Hannah continues to be Hannah. Shoshonna is different yet the same post-Japan. Still don’t get the “point” of Jessa really, but she has her moments now and then, I guess. I’m glad they included the guys as much as they did. It’s a little contrived having big STAR Adam Driver around, but I saw his awesomeness way before the rest of the world did back in season 1, so there. Jessa and Adam together doesn’t thrill me though. Alex Karpovsky stole the show tonight without really trying. The leaps they took with Desi were interesting. He left Marnie hanging at the club performance and record deal last season, but now they’re getting married? And he’s BFFs with Adam? Odd. Can’t wait to see where things go this season. Andrew Rannells looks killer in the previews. They’re still mining laughs from Petet Scolari, I see. I do love Hannah’s parents lol. Grade for “Wedding Day”: A-
