Lynch should have won for all seasons and Lea Michele deserved better, at least 2 Emmys and 1 Golden Globe IMO

I agree with Lea and also with Jane but as much as I love the latter, Naya Rivera deserved to win at least once for Glee.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

It’s a controversial opinion but I don’t think Rivera was ever win worthy. Nomination, sure, but I wouldn’t say there’s a single season where she was even the best supporting actress on the show.

I guess that’s true but she’s my personal favourite in season 2.

I have a feeling that Trump may have watched Glee and taken inspiration from Sue though…

I mean especially seeming “Rumours” literally predicted the concept of fake news.

Just took a look throughout your GoldDerby Awards ballots and I don’t take offend at getting dragged on my taste by someone who voted for Renee Zellweger in Judy and Meryl Streep in The Post as the best performances of the decade.

I wouldn’t expect someone with such dull taste to appreciate either of those.

But I do find it interesting that you picked out those two, who for everyone’s information I had in 4th and 5th, and ignored the entirety of my number one choices. Must’ve been a struggle for you.

If you really wanted some ammunition that would get the likes pouring in, you should have sought out my Gold Derby Decade TV votes because there was some really brilliant shit in there that you lot would hate.

You are not about to come for the “dullest taste” when you stan TMS I- And yes, Glee is undeniably trash.

I definitely do not stan The Morning Show, as terrific as it was, so that’s just unsurprising laziness from you but I do stan Glee you are correct there.

What you won’t have noticed, probably because it required reading comprehension, is that I deliberately said “dullest” rather “worst”. I will never claim that I have better taste than anyone on here because how can I possibly say that. But what I can say is that in general the shows I love may be trashy sometimes but they’ll never be dull, unlike many of your faves dear Evan Rachel.

Not you pretending Emma Thompson, Jennifer Aniston and Natalie Portman were extremely exciting votes

Glee has a special place in our generations heart and was perfect for what it was at the time (in 2009). I still love a lot of the music too. But in reality, after season 2 it didn’t deserve to even be nominated for comedy series because the writing got so astronomically bad and the only actors who deserved continued support were Lynch, Rivera, and Colfer.

Matthew Morrison is also absolutely horrific

The same Natalie Portman that ended up winning the award?

As for the other two, why didn’t you mention them before? Did they not type as easily as well as Zellweger and Streep?

Chile, you can argue dull for WW because that show is whatever for however many people, but for you, you undoubtedly have the worst taste on this forum that I’ve seen since joining. Imagine getting this pressed at someone not liking Glee in 2020 lmao.

I am intrigued as to how you think I am going to care that someone who I have said has dull taste thinks my taste is bad. Seems like a bit of gap in logic there but I don’t mind you wasting your time.

Also, I wasn’t getting “pressed” at anyone for not liking Glee, you have every right to think that and have dull taste. What I actually took issue with was you and Kelvin “coming out against this perfectly innocent thread” (again, reading comprehension would have really helped you here!). Wolfali made this thread to inspire a logical debate about why Glee, a show that got bucket loads of Emmy nominations, never won many. But thanks to your desperate urge to hate on it, it’s just turned into an opinion forum of the show. Totally unnecessary.

Literally everyone gave their opinion on the show you just came for us because our opinion was negative.

Were you or were you not the first person to just state an opinion rather than try to answer Wolfali’s original query?

Lol have you ever even seen the Academy Award winning Black Swan or the BAFTA, Golden Globe or SAG nominated Saving Mr Banks?

Imagine getting this pressed at someone not liking Glee in 2020 lmao.

Imagine hating a show so much that you bother to jump into a forum with it’s fans who are questioning why the show didn’t win more Emmys and then taking time to talk about how “trashy” or “dull” you think the show is in order to start a fight.

Guys this forum is about a discussion on why Glee won only six Emmys. It’s not a discussion where people start to troll by expressing their opinion on the show without it at all relating to the show’s Emmy chance. It is also not a discussion where people get to personally attack other people’s taste in television. So please, if you see any harassing or personal attacks going on report it as spam so a moderator can remove it.

    I wasn’t. Luca was.

Yes. Also, we’re talking about Jackie.

Ummm I think you’ll find if you read Luca’s post he’s still talking about the show’s relationship with the Emmys. Unless of course you wanted me to criticise him for adding how it helped him come out.

You do realize that the only thing that started this whole debate is you saying everyone who disliked it had dull taste right? I had no intention to argue so hard in this thread.

You’re right. I shouldn’t have had a go at those of you who had decided to be dicks and ruin the discussion.

Now, would anyone else care to actually respond to Wolfali’s original question?
