Can someone please explain to me why actors double submit in the same category? They can’t be double nominated can they. So double submitting only hurts their chances right?

My guess would be they didn’t have any say in the matter and the shows submitted them.

Actors can make multiple submissions per category as of this decade and Liev Schreiber was double-nominated for narrator last year.

Yeah, it is just in the fiction directing categories that people can only submit once.

Cute pilot. The premise really intrigues me, and the cast looks great. Can’t wait to see what Alison Brie does with this lead role. As much potential as she showed in “Community” and “Mad Men,” it never felt fully realized to me. Some of the writing could have been tighter and far less coincidental nature, but other than that, I’m in for the season.

Halfway point of the season. Very engaging ensemble and fun premise. I hoped that the writing would be sharper than this. Some of the episodes are running longer than than need to be. Surprisingly enough, the standout for me isn’t Alison Brie like I initially thought (she’s great though and now firmly in my lead actress comedy Emmy predictions), but Marc Maron. Like who knew he could do all of this? I’m predicting him as well wherever he’s being placed. Finishing the season shortly.

I shall not be happy when Betty Gilpin is snubbed.

Marc Maron is the best on this show. He might give the best supporting performance of the season.

Big fan of Better Call Saul, Sex Education, Barry, BoJack Horseman, and, especially, Survivor

Finished. Some twists and turns here and there that I wasn’t expecting. This still feels second-tier level to me, but the ensemble really sells the premise (good going on that SAG Ensemble nomination!) to help make up for that. Alison Brie anchors things well. She’s done more revelatory work elsewhere, but Ruth is a good character for her. Betty Gilpin was great too. I remember her enlivening a somewhat drab final season of “Masters of Sex” from a few years ago. Also liked Corey Lowell a lot and Elizabeth Perkins in her guest appearance. But the MVP in this was Marc Maron. I never watched “Maron,” but maybe I should have? Like who knew he could do all of this? Holy shit. Go get your highly deserved Emmy nomination, hopefully in supporting actor. Comedy Series, 2 acting nods (fingers crossed), writing/directing for the pilot, and some techs sound about right. Season 2!
