The Affair’s Emmy snub is still shameful. Especially for the amazing s2.

@ Sam K, this is a great list, but you’ve got a few inaccuracies here. Kirstie Alley, Kim Delaney, and Dylan McDermott were Emmy nominated for their Globe nominated roles, as were Hugh Bonneville, Debra Messing, and Allison Tolman in different categories. And 12 Angry Men was nominated for and Wit won the Emmy for Television Movie.

All that having been said, the HFPA does like honoring more prominent names and more international performers than the Emmys do, so I’ve already penciled in Ian McShane and Renée Zellweger as possibilities despite not getting Emmy nominations. There is also stronger Showtime and Starz love from the HFPA, so Kevin Bacon and even The Spanish Princess could also make it in with no corresponding Emmy love.
