HBO TV Movie she wasn’t nominated for at the Emmys?
She was nominated.
Although she was only nominated three times for Sex and the City at the Emmys opposed to four at the Globes so there’s your argument if you’re keen to find one I guess.
November 26, 2020 at 4:15 am #1203874507Boy, the way Nicole Kidman is overacting on these last episodes of Undoing are something. For me she was totally miscast.
wbk most of her tv work is overacting and similar

Ah ok.
I wasn’t trying to find an argument I just thought she was some sort of HFPA darling but turns out she isn’t haha.
I’m really struggling with my supporting actress predictions. I don’t see Jessie Buckley happening (as I said previously Fargo season 4 is giving me nostalgia to Top of the Lake : China Girl) and really I don’t feel confident with anyone outside of Aduba, Anderson and Heller (I’m not even sure if Corrin will make it in although in an ideal she should be a lock and win).
FYC OSCARS : PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. ACTRESS – Carey Mulligan AND ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY — EMERALD FENNELL), VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", ESSIE DAVIS FOR "BABYTEETH"

I wouldn’t rule out Fiona Show popping up here.

Agreed. She could be the Yvonne Strahovski of this year.
She’s also getting raves for Ammonite so that can only help her.

November 26, 2020 at 7:45 am #1203874967Did Sandra Oh, Elisabeth Moss, Taraji P. Henson, Ruth Wilson and Claire Danes fit that bill either?
Ruth Wilson, yes. The others obviously not. I didn’t say they exclusively go for fresh faces, only that they often go for them. Ignoring those saying Cuoco, who starred on one of the biggest shows of all time is “fresh” wile Smollett isn’t because of Eve’s Bayou…
Anyway, I was just floating the possibility – no need to get up in arms.
November 26, 2020 at 8:00 am #1203874999Ruth Wilson, yes.
I wouldn’t call Ruth Wilson a fresh face considering how prior to her win for The Affair she had already been previously nominated for a Golden Globe for Jane Eyre and was the principal female character on a multi Emmy nominated drama.

Nope, they told me a TV movie. It didn’t have a theatrical release plan and doesn’t qualify as a feature film.
