Hi Chris, This was the response I got about Let Them All Talk: “Hi Erik! I see you were inquiring about where this one will be submitted. This is film awards – Oscars!”
The saga continues…
Have a great day if you see this!
FYC: Anthony Hopkins- The Father
FYC: Chadwick Boseman - Ma Rainey’s Black BottomMale/Straight/BLM

No Chris Evans? He seems exactly the type of star they’d nominate or award in this category.

The category is too weak and his show flopped at the Emmys and aired too long ago. I doubt he even gets the nom never mind the win.
FYC OSCARS : PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. ACTRESS – Carey Mulligan AND ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY — EMERALD FENNELL), VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", ESSIE DAVIS FOR "BABYTEETH"
November 26, 2020 at 2:58 pm #1203875915I think Evans is more likely at SAG but I could see some random nom for him or Dockery here.

November 26, 2020 at 2:59 pm #1203875922There’s also a possibility that it’s a zoom / semi-virtual ceremony by February and without the chance to party with people like Evans etc, don’t know if they would go out of their way to nominate something so traditionally starfuckery for them.
November 26, 2020 at 3:05 pm #1203875939Billie has overtaken Awkwafina in the predictions centre! Up next Linda Cardellini and Lily Collins!
And then the Golden Globe!

They told me just last week that it was for TV. Since it had no theatrical distribution plan, it is not eligible for Oscars.
November 26, 2020 at 8:56 pm #1203876583The Queen’s Gambit and The Undoing have been EVERYWHERE.
I mean look at this interview with Emma Stone on Jimmy Fallon where both shows are name-dropped and they randomly praise Kidman and her performance.
I feel like both shows are locked for Series noms here.

November 27, 2020 at 2:22 am #1203877042Are we sure that The Flight Attendant is going Drama Series? Everything I see online is calling it a Limited Series…

The Queen’s Gambit x The Undoing
Anya Taylor-Joy x Nicole Kidman
November 27, 2020 at 9:33 am #1203877545In Limited Series I think we have a clear top 8 with The Good Lord Bird, I May Destroy You, Little Fires Everywhere, Mrs. America, Normal People, The Queen’s Gambit, The Undoing and Unorthodox.
Although I personally feel like we’re headed for a lineup of I May Destroy You, Mrs. America, Normal People, The Queen’s Gambit and The Undoing. In fact I might even put my super bet on it. It just feels like 4 out of 5 of those shows are those shows that have buzz/are the ones people are talking about and Mrs. America is a Cate Blanchett miniseries about the equal rights amendment on FX.

It’s normal for spring shows to lose its buzz in fall as new shows arrive. That doesn’t mean they will surely be forgotten at GG and guilds. Mrs. America is such a great show and Cate Blanchett has an amazing performance. There is no way GG is going to miss the opportunity. Normal People might be the new When They See Us since it doesn’t have movie stars.

Yes but in this particular year I think that hurts spring shows.

November 27, 2020 at 10:39 am #1203877688I actually think Mrs America is getting snubbed lol. The category has buzzier, fresher contenders than it.
November 27, 2020 at 6:32 pm #1203878525The Undoing is MASSIVE.
Thus, The Undoing has hooked a nation. In fact, several nations. It has piled on viewers with every episode, as those who have watched the previous ones on delay pitch up for the next weekly dose. It’s on course to be watched by 10 million people in its native US, a terrific number in these multiple-platform, fragmented, super-competitive televisual times.
It has been the biggest launch for a US drama over here on Sky Atlantic, the top watch on Canada’s streaming service Crave, pulled in the largest premiere figures for Australia’s Foxtel since 2017 (when another Kelley/Kidman collaboration, Big Little Lies, took the crown), and so very much for most markets in between.
More valuably, perhaps, even than that, it has seized the public imagination, gaining traction on social media and spawning countless WhatsApp groups that are the equivalent in furloughed and socially distanced 2020 of gathering round the watercooler to discuss the latest twists and turns of everybody’s current favourite story.
