First review for Your Honor is out.

It’s a 67 on Metacritic. Cranston’s performance has been praised (duh).

Mark Ruffalo, Ethan Hawke, Paul Mescal, Hugh Jackmam and Hugh Grant would make a perfect lineup!

It would but that almost feels too obvious and easy (especially for the Globes of all places)

I really hope pen15 can be that random show that breaks out at the Globes, it deserves it so much.

I had a hard time getting past the weird premise, but when I did… Such a marvelous show.

Considering it’s called Penis I’m not surprised it’s underwetched.

I’m sure it’s probably a good show though.

PEN15 can be pretty good at times but it also has a tendency of trying too hard which makes it feel more out of its depth in juggling its premise than it usually is. I have mixed feelings about Maya Erskine but Anna Konkle is definitely good in this role.

As for awards, the writers did embrace it right off the bat but I personally don’t see it getting much support beyond them. It’d be interesting if it lands somewhere big like PGA or Globes and proves me wrong.

Interesting you said that Mukund. I don’t watch the show but for some reason I had a feeling Erskine gave the more popular performance of the two leads?

The fact that The Queen’s Gambit has currently 6000 less reviews than The Crown… I’ve also read several pieces that say it boosted chess set sales.

I’m lowkey wondering if Thomas Brodie-Sangster might actually even get nominated along with Heller and Taylor-Joy here. IMO he kind of did almost nothing but the show is so big and that category is so open that a thankless name-check can easily happen (see how he’s been acting since he was 13 in films and programmes such as Love Actually).

That surprises me since Maya is the real stand out for me of the pair (even though they’re both amazing). I have to disagree about it being out of its depth since it brilliantly captures a very challenging point of view that could easily become cliche and unfunny, in a way that is both sincere and hilarious. Hopefully it will benefit from the relatively sparse options in the comedy categories this year though.

HBO has double confirmed for us today that “Let Them All Talk” has been changed over. They told us something different earlier this month, but it now competing in feature film categories and not in TV movie categories.

Hey, can you confirm The Flight Attendant’s placement? Thank you!
