Yeah, I was actually just thinking this morning that Fonda might well win if she manages to be nominated and sends the right tape (I wasn’t impressed Tomlin sent the season finale last year). With that said, I imagine Louis-Dreyfus, Schumer, Kemper, Tomlin, Bloom and Dunham are all ahead of her in terms of nabbing the nomination. (Though watch the Emmys snub Bloom like they did Rodriguez.)

Jane Fonda is the standout this season and deserves a nomination over Lily Tomlin but will likely get snubbed. She was brilliant in Episode 11: “The Bender.”

Agreed above. Both Tomlin and Fonda were excellent this year, but Fonda shined in those last three episodes.

But wow, THAT scene in the finale (if you’ve watched the finale, you know what I’m talking about) was just stellar. I haven’t laughed and cried so hard in a long time. Excellent season 2!

I really think it’s basically a jump ball among the likes of Bloom, Fonda and Dunham to get in.

Just finished season 2 and agree with everyone here. This was WAY better than the decent season 1. This was stellar. Everyone was more interesting and better used. It was funnier, and better storylines.

I wouldn’t hand it any wins, but Tomlin and Fonda absolutely deserve noms, but yeah, if I have to choose, I’d give Fonda the advantage this season. Plus the show deserves a nomination. After coming off the solid but underwhelming season 2 of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”, it was a pleasant surprise to tune into season 2 of “Grace and Frankie” and be delighted by it, and watch it as fast as I did, considering I kinda slogged through season 1.

Oh, and by the way, I don’t think they’ll be a better scene in any series than that finale scene. “Mic drop”. Pure perfection.

I agree Grace & Frankie this season is much better than Kimmy Schmidt as a whole show
