The infamous twist lol! I can see where the critics were coming from now with this late-series twist overwhelming the rest of the season moving forward. I was perfectly fine with the flirty “will-they/won’t they” dynamic between Billy and Ruby on the train and in the city. Did they “need” to go in this direction? Only time will tell, I guess. I’m fascinated regardless, and I personally loved Archie Panjabi in this highly memorable Fiona arc. Phoebe Waller-Bridge was fine. I’m curious to see what her character’s all about. Only two episodes left! It sounds like they’re going to be even more divisive, but whatever. If you don’t like the series at this stage, then turn the damn channel. Thousands of options out there for you to enjoy instead. I’m hoping for the best, and if the finale implodes on itself, so be it. It wasn’t time wasted. Still rooting hard for Merritt Wever to make the lead actress comedy Emmy cut! She’s been fantastic in every single episode to date.May 11, 2020 at 10:19 am #1203476068

…..because show runners can only take so much of Archie Panjabi.

I would not nominate the show for comedy series, but I’d pretty happy if Wever, Panjabi and Gleeson are nominated.May 11, 2020 at 12:47 pm #1203476549
I enjoyed last night’s episode a lot but I do wish that Waller-Bridge’s guest spot had been longer as I found her absolutely hilarious.May 11, 2020 at 12:53 pm #1203476564
Wever is so damn good that I don’t really even care if the plot is going off the rails otherwise.May 11, 2020 at 1:10 pm #1203476596
Best episode so far. Wever was great. Phoebe Waller Bridge was hilarious. Hopefully she is in the next episode.

This is exactly how I feel. This show is far from perfect but it’s entertaining enough to stick with and Wever is so great that she makes it worth while.
PWB did nothing this episode, kind of blows my mind that people found her hilarious lol.May 12, 2020 at 8:00 am #1203477733
It’s definitely far-fetched, but would it be too crazy for HBO to suddenly decide to end it after one season and submit it as a limited series?May 12, 2020 at 10:17 am #1203477983

Awards wise, it would be dumb because it’s chances of getting nominated are much higher in the comedy categories.
