House of the Dragon has gotten a straight-to-series order of 10 episodes. It will detail the rise of the fall of the Targaryens 300 years before Game of Thrones. We’re getting what we deserve. Now excuse me while I go cry about it.

Also got banned because...reasons? So, I guess ciao.October 29, 2019 at 6:44 pm #1203158265
I’m curious to see who gets cast in this.
I’m assuming it will premiere in April 2021.October 29, 2019 at 9:09 pm #1203158424
Wow!! Sapochnik is back!!
That already sounds much better than the previous oneOctober 30, 2019 at 12:17 am #1203158521
I’m ready.October 30, 2019 at 12:42 am #1203158528
In terms of casting I want two things: Naomi recast in this after the cancellation of her racist flop prequel, and Carice cast as guest (we need more Melisandre and Carice needs her Emmy).
For Your Consideration:
Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)October 30, 2019 at 12:52 am #1203158532This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.October 30, 2019 at 12:55 am #1203158536
Probably won’t win much or anything at the Emmys, just like Better Call Saul
FYC 2020 EMMYS
COMEDY- SCHITTS CREEK in all categories, Maya Rudolph, Eddie Murphy
DRAMA- Killing Eve in all categories, HBC, Cicely Tyson, The Crown in directing
LIMITED- UNBELIEVABLE, Normal People in writing and directing, Toni Collette, Tituss Burgess
FYC OSCARS- Amy AdamsOctober 30, 2019 at 1:37 am #1203158555
IT for sure Will win al the technical stuff. If they awarded fanhated season 8 they Will also award this show. I’m sooo readyOctober 30, 2019 at 2:26 am #1203158562
What a premature statement. I know you dislike GOT, but it’s way, way, way too early to talk about this show’s Emmy chances, lol.
So weird. I don’t think he even watches it? Like with that Forwardwill guy, it’s funny when people who don’t even watch the show have such strong opinions about it.
I’m excited nonetheless. It will be on HBO Max but there’s no mention of HBO in the announcement. What do you guys make of it?October 30, 2019 at 2:34 am #1203158572
Gosh, just imagine how attractive that cast is going to be. I am excited for this but knowing this glorious dynasty ends with Jon in the deep north makes me so sad.October 30, 2019 at 4:48 am #1203158629
Next Game of Thrones will be Game of Thrones spin off. Other fantasy shows stand no chance against this to be honest.
Level of hype for this is bigger than for that new Star Wars show.October 30, 2019 at 5:13 am #1203158640This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.October 30, 2019 at 6:01 am #1203158709
I think the whole Aegon’s conquest can be covered in that season. I don’t see why would they need to drag that out.
End the season with his coronation and making of the Iron Throne. Then next seasons jumps in time like The Crown does.
Endingt this show with Robert’s rebellion would be wise movie. It will make people really hyped about the last season, since the lot of time will pass since GoT and especially S1 so people will be excited to see Ned, Robert, Tywin and the rest again. It will have nostalgia factor. I can’t see of better event to close this show. It feels like natural conclusion.
If it’s successful enought to get like 6-7 seasons ofc.
And after that they can bring Maisie back to do West of Westeros show.
