Discuss how the winters awards season should adapt to this unprecedented 2020-21 once in a lifetime pandemic.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

Emmys style. It’s safer while still more entertaining than a zoom call.

I think by March vaccines are gonna be here already.

But I think they should use the Emmy style, unless it’s a complete flop. We shall see in a few weeks.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

I don’t think anyone can say when this will happen.

Maybe we should ask that psychic from Maisel to look into her crystal ball lol.

Well, we actually can say. Not we, but the government is already stipulating a date. From what I heard, november/december.

I won’t believe it until I see it.

I would have been fine with a press conference, TBH. Not exactly in the most festive of awards moods.

Also whilst I am in favour of a vaccine let’s not forget how many nutty anti vaxxers are out there.

I would prefer only inviting the nominees. We’ll see how the Emmys do with at home stuff but I’m skeptical on that. If the situation is the same or better, I’d like to see them try some sort of in person event.

The industry needs to be mindful of being too self-congratulatory at a time when millions have lost their jobs, going into debt, are sick or dying or afraid of getting the virus, are getting evicted from their homes and are fearful for their futures. A bit of perspective is key.
