How nice! I haven’t caught the second season yet, but I liked the first one when I watched it a year or two ago. And I’ll watch/root for anything Aidy is involved in.

I’m not in love with the show, I think it could do more to scratch the surface of the perspective it’s going for. But the end of the second season seemed to veer in that direction, so I’m happy the show can continue. It’s charming and Aidy Bryant is a wonderful lead.

I kept waiting for her to be shrill in the first season and it never happened. I also could not believe that the boyfriend made it through the season.

I think the show does a good job of explaining that though. She’s afraid of being rejected and unloved so she accepts what she can get. She stays with him because she has trouble loving herself to the point where she feels she deserves more.
