The teaser just came out for Amazon Prime’s Hunters.
What are this show’s chances? I think that it has the potential to become the next Fleabag or The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for Amazon Prime. It has a timely plot, Peele’s name on it as an executive producer, and stars like Al Pacino and Logan Lerman headlining.
I know it’s just a teaser, but it already looks exciting. Since the series is coming out on February 2020, it could break in Emmys 2020. At the very least, I can see Logan Lerman and Al Pacino score Emmy nods, but it could also seed in some other nominations.

February 3, 2020 at 1:37 pm #1203328462We got our first look at Jordan Peele’s upcoming Amazon Prime series “Hunters” during the Super Bowl. What do you guys think? Will it be an Emmy juggernaut? More importantly, will it be good?
ReplyCopy URLFebruary 3, 2020 at 2:31 pm #1203328589I assume this is something voters would at least give a try, so if it’s good it might stand a good chance for a nomination. That being said, despite all the terrific comedy series they have aired Homecoming is still the only drama I have liked from Amazon.

ReplyCopy URLApril 19, 2020 at 3:21 am #1203434930I think this show deserves a shot, i’m on the third episode and I think Al Pacino and Logan are amazing on it.
ReplyCopy URLApril 19, 2020 at 3:26 am #1203434942I think Logan Lerman is the only who deserves to be nominated.
But I don’t have faith in the show doing well at the Emmys due to how bad it is. If Pacino gets nominated it will be a joke.

I’m on episode 3 … so it might be too early to tell … but I think it’s very entertaining and fast paced.April 19, 2020 at 8:04 am #1203435120Agree with above. The show has some interesting moments and performances but overall is a bit of an unfortunate mess. Pacino has never been worse, imo. Lerman was fairly solid throughout, but I’d be surprised if he receives a non. There seems to be exactly zero passion for this show.
ReplyCopy URLApril 19, 2020 at 11:17 am #1203435342The problem with show was there was something missing. It’s not bad but it’s not good. I believe this was the creator first show. Maybe if it had someone with more expertise to have made it more exciting. I know that Peele was involved but I’m sure it was minimal. And I have to say Certain things make more sense by the end acting wise. Lol
