The drama field looks so empty for the precursors at the moment. I hope the Limited category placement pays off because it looks more competitive both in series and in actress.

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

I’m really curious how this show will perform at the guild awards. So many actors and writers praised it.

Coel is winning Critics Choice. Mark my words.

Whether this wins Series or not there idk considering how gaga critics have also gone for Mrs. America and Unorthodox.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

I believe everything apart from WGA.

Ironically the one it deserves the most. Actors clearly love the show and Michaela, but SAG is known for very basic choices so I have my doubts. It needs the critics groups and BAFTA.

She’s getting in at BAFTA and the show will get into Series there. I assure you. Whether she wins for acting there is a question considering how competitive that category looks set to be (especially when Billie Piper and Keeley Hawes are getting raves) but I think she has a strong chance at Writing there. The fact that Succession will be ineligible in Writing at BAFTA will surely help her.

I meant globe/cc/bafta wins, I should’ve been more clear. A SAG nom would be amazing though, but as I said, getting it will be difficult despite the vocal support from actors.

Well I think she’s winning Critics Choice.

If she does get snubbed at the Globes or SAG we shouldn’t hold it against her when predicting the Emmys. The buzz is genuinely there so it could be her show hasn’t reached peak visibility yet.

I mean after all the winners of three of the Lead categories at the Emmys this year were all in shows that got shut out at SAG.
