It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

Kate has got so much going for her, as long as the finale is good and not an Undoing 2.0

She’s getting career best reviews, and everyone’s raving her. I’m assuming she will campaign a lot in the coming weeks.

I think it’s definitely between her and Taylor Joy (Hopefully Coel still wins writing).

    EMMY FYC

The Crown in all categories (inc. Olivia Colman & Gillian Anderson)

I May Destroy You, It’s a Sin, Stateless & The Queens Gambit

Kate Winslet, Keeley Hawes, Shaun Parkes, Marielle Heller, Michaela Coel

Ted Lasso & The Flight Attendant in all categories.

TCA are not going to run to award Winslet over Coel or Taylor-Joy.

I am actually predicting Coel to win there. They love their auteurs and Coon’s win proves that they aren’t obsessed with Emmy foreshadowing.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

I was thinking Coel as well for TCA

First of all I don’t know why this needed to be a thread. Second of all, Coel is likely the favourite here so the poll isn’t representative of the actual race. Winslet would need to beat Coel as well as Anya. There are numerous instances of TCA going with the more acclaimed nominee over the Emmy winners/frontrunners (Russell over Rhys and Criss, Coon over Kidman and Moss). If Kate manages to win though, it’s a very positive sign for her sweep chances going into the Emmys and the winter awards.

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

This may sound like an exaggeration but I feel like after many years Kate is reconnecting with the public through this role. Don’t get me wrong, she’s always great, but she hasn’t had this kind of moment in a very long time (Steve Jobs maybe, but that movie flopped). The general public is loving the show and rooting for her, and that gives me hope thinking of a possible upset.

But of course, The Queen’s Gambit was a worldwide massive hit and It’s been sweeping every single award so…

Because I wanted to do a poll with number results. I do agree Coel is the frontrunner at TCA.

If she wins TCA she’s sweeping everywhere else

    For Your Emmy Consideration:
Matthew Rhys for "Perry Mason" | Ethan Hawke for "The Good Lord Bird", THE GOOD LORD BIRD in ALL CATEGORIES | Elizabeth Olsen and Kathryn Hahn for "Wandavision" | Tobias Menzies for "The Crown" | MJ Rodriguez for "Pose" | Jane Levy for "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist"

Yeah, I’m predicting Coel too (fingers crossed!). This feels like the one place she would be the frontrunner to win, if nominated. She should have figured somewhere in the poll options. Winslet has proximity going for her. If she somehow wins TCA, then yes, I’d predict her over ATJ for the Emmy win. It wouldn’t be the only reason. Coel has writing locked.

Are people just bored with this race? I’ve seen people predicting that The Queen’s Gambit is somehow going to lose Actress, Writing, and Directing. Yes, there are some late entries that it hasn’t gone up against at other awards shows, but come on. It has swept everything so far, even when it’s been up against stuff like The Crown or Watchmen. It probably will lose one of writing or directing, but predicting it losing everything but series and some techs doesn’t seem grounded in reality.

Both Coel and Anya are likelier for TCA.

If I’m honest, it’s too early for this thread. Winslet’s show hasn’t finished airing, Coel and I May Destroy You could win big at the BAFTAs and Anya Taylor-Joy is still the lead of the far and away series frontrunner and she’s hosting the anticipated finale of SNL. Not to mention TCA nominations aren’t even out yet (has voting even begun).

At this point all I can really say with certainty is that each of Coel, Taylor-Joy and Winslet will get nominated and that if Coel wins it’s for Writing.

Aren’t they a little racist? Doesn’t bode well for Ms Coel.

Yes I will probably predict Winslet if she wins TCA.

honestly i dont really like about award with small number of voter…TCA it self only 250 voter they called them self “tv Critic” …. if you said that this award nomination mirroring of Emmy nomination it could be fair…..

just like Golden Globe with 90 people acting like they’re dominate entire entertainment award industry….

i really like TIFF (film) they let people choose the best and the award impact to film industry really massive
