Couldn’t find a thread on this.
A reminder of who has already been cast :
Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky
Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp
Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones
Anthony Green as Al Gore
Clive Owen as President Bill Clinton
Betty Gilpin as Ann Coulter
Billy Eichner as Matt Drudge
Margo Martindale as Lucianne Goldberg
FX says Hillary Clinton won’t play a significant role.
FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", AMANDA SEYFRIED FOR "MANK", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).June 21, 2020 at 2:44 pm #1203545100
Not surprised Hilary isn’t a big part, I imagine it will probably be the size of Faye Resnick in ACS1 if at allJune 21, 2020 at 2:50 pm #1203545102
If Hillary was a big part, I think it might be a bit too distracting, as she was so centric and parodied in the public eye not all that long ago.June 21, 2020 at 2:56 pm #1203545104
You forgot Margo Martindale and Billy Eichner.June 21, 2020 at 3:05 pm #1203545114
Beanie is so miscast in this.
How can you say that when you haven’t even seen it lmao?

I just googled Margo Martindale and wtf she’s 68?? She looks good for her age.

Perched for Sarah to receive her second Emmy next year, whether for Ratched or this.June 21, 2020 at 3:36 pm #1203545147
Because anyone with two working eyes can see she looks nothing like Lewinsky. And why are you so pressed about my comments? Are you starting a FYC: Beanie Feldstein already? Sorry I didn’t get the memo.
I’m not saying Feldstein won’t be bad but you can’t say she won’t deliver when you haven’t even seen the programme yet.
People don’t have to look exactly like the characters they’re playing to deliver a performance (*coughs* Sarah Paulson *coughs*). Also I find it ironic that you say I am so pressed about your comments when you literally have mocked the fact I am campaigning for a performance that deserves (J. Smith Cameron).June 21, 2020 at 4:02 pm #1203545160
I’m such a fan of the Feldstein castingJune 21, 2020 at 4:21 pm #1203545190
Beanie is so miscast in this.
Prior to her casting announcement, I thought Ariel Winter would’ve slayed MonicaJune 21, 2020 at 4:51 pm #1203545232
Ugh, I hope this doesn’t mean Eichner will become a regular part of Murphy’s repertoire. I thought he was just grating and annoying in AHS.June 21, 2020 at 4:53 pm #1203545235
Of course Hillary won’t be a major role in this… they’re probably afraid to portray her with any negativeness lolJune 21, 2020 at 7:12 pm #1203545363This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.June 21, 2020 at 7:31 pm #1203545378
As long as it gets Annaleigh Ashford or Betty Gilpin a well-deserved Emmy I won’t be complaining.September 30, 2020 at 10:51 am #1203745222
I don’t see Gilpin getting nominated. She’s playing a deeply controversial and frankly despicable character and it’s not like she has a big name like Blanchett or is the lead.
I do think we need to watch out for Ashford, Martindale and Paulson though. Ashford and Paulson because they are playing incredibly baity roles that are central to the story and are quite well known roles and Martindale because she is Martindale.
