This. The fact that Girls kept getting flowers long after it’s creative & cultural peak but Insecure at it’s most popular, resonant & creative peak right now struggles for consideration is laughable.

If I had my way Ellis & Rothwell would both be Emmy nominees by now alongside Rae & Orij with trophies on their selves.

Agreed but they do need to look into writing better stories for their handful of PoC cast members and not treat them as an afterthought. Creating a more diverse writers room should be the first step as mentioned.

The experts were called out, which I find utterly ridiculous. The complaint should be directed toward the TV academy, not prognosticaters. They’re going off of what the academy likes, not what they like. I 100% support the point that’s being made, but the comment wasn’t dragging Gold Derby, and the fact that a thread was headlined as such is not correct.
