How do we think this will fare at the Emmys in 2018?

If the writing serves the cast well, I have no doubt Emmy voters would love to throw the cast some nominations. Could Debra Messing finally be the one to knock JLD off her perch?

I expect Emmys to embrace it once again. The show and whole cast being nominated with Mullally winning. Mullally as Karen Walker is as ironic as they come, won’t miss opportunity to award her for the third time. As for Messing she kills it as Grace but they love JLD as Selina too much to just stop awarding her.

I agree; watching JLD’s Selina Meyer is an absolute masterclass. Messing would have to do something really special to launch a credible challenge.

Do we think that this Will this be billed as a limited series like the Gilmore Girls revival? Or just another season of an established comedy series that just happened to take a really long break like Arrested Development.

NBC has already confirmed it’s gonna be treated as a ninth season. They have ordered two more episodes of it so they must have been putting lots of faith in it. And it’s also gonna be one of the most costly shows next season thanks to the creators and main four stars contracts (from what I’m hearing they’re being paid what they were getting during last seasons of the show which is $600k per episode). I’m expecting W&G to become the first revival to actually getting embraced once again at every awards ceremony (GG, SAG and Emmys).

You have never seen it!? How old are you? It’s one of the best comedy series of all time (first three seasons are basically perfect). You have to watch it. I demand you to do it.

I’m too young to have watched Will and Grace when it was originally on. I’m having trouble finding it anywhere, do you know where I can get it to watch?

I’m expecting W&G to become the first revival to actually getting embraced once again at every awards ceremony (GG, SAG and Emmys).

Arrested Development got Jason Bateman nominated for all three. The ensemble got a SAG nod too. PGA also nominated it. It’s not much, but it got embraced at every ceremony with something important, specially SAG.

When it comes to revivals…how many nominations are we expecting for Gilmore Girls, 24 Legacy, Fuller House or Prison Break? I suppose the same as Heroes….Zero. (Which would suck in the case of Gilmore Girls).

As for Will & Grace, when it comes to being embraced…will it actually get to win its first ever Golden Globe after losing 27 times before? (sadly, again, my guess is no).

I have completely forgotten about AD. But I expect W&G to get bigger recognition. Maybe even some SAG win for Mullally. You know if HFPA wanted to make headlines awarding the show after 27 losses would do the trick. And HFPA are huge famewhores. But yeah they might nominate it but will award very probably something new and hip. Still I fully expect Emmys to embrace the show like they used to. And comedy categories are really weak these days.

NBC isn’t fucking around. The show is coming back this fall not midseason. And we know what it means. They’re going after those Golden Globes and SAG awards. And good for them. They’re owed.
