I think Sandra can win for the final season

I hope so too, like Jon Hamm and Matthew Rhys did for their final seasons.

I’m just wondering whether Season 4 will be the final season or if there will be a Season 5. Even shows like Bates Motel and Breaking Bad only had 5 seasons, so given that Killing Eve relies so heavily on its two co-leads for the script and the character arc is limited, I’m thinking 5 seasons is probably the max. I actually was a little surprised that it was renewed for a Season 4.

I honestly wouldn’t mind Olivia Colman/Sandra Oh winning this year and whichever one doesn’t win this year wins next year. If Killing Eve does go into a fifth season, I’m wondering whether Imelda Staunton (fifth and last season on The Crown) will have the edge since the TV Academy loves The Crown and it’s her only shot.

So clever to make sure the entire season definitely airs when people are at home.

This looks great! As someone who enjoyed season two, I’m very excited! Jodie Comer is definitely returning to a nomination, and we’ll have to see the performance, but I doubt Oh is very far off. I still think this could hold its writing streak as well.

Unless they are hiding most of Sandra Oh’s scenes, this looks yet again very Jodie Comer focused. We can’t even say it’s because she won the Emmy, the season was shot before.

Jodie coming to snatch our wigs once more…

The trailer looks amazing. It has potential to be the best season yet. Sandra looks great as well but as someone pointed out this looks to be more focused (again) on Jodie.

I don’t think it’s quite that the season will be more Villanelle-focused, I just think it’s that the producers of the show now know that most people are watching for her. I still expect Oh and Comer to have fairly equal roles, but when marketing, they know that the Villanelle character is the one who will get people excited and buzzing on social media. Funny how Oh was originally the main pull for the show in season one and now it’s completely switched.

Screentime is tricky thing because they actually had similiar screentime in s.2, but as always, it’s the quality of writing that makes the final verdict.

They didn’t reveal anything in that trailer in terms of storyline, which I guess might be a good thing? Read some spoilers here and there (some sounded really interesting) but nothing definitive so honestly don’t know what to expect.

Tho I mostly want good fun.

Where this will land at the Emmys? I don’t know. I think their short time at the Emmys might be over, but for example I won’t be surprised if Harriet Walter gets Guest Star nom. Her character looks bonkers!

For an international assassin, Villanelle is strangely ineffective at making sure her targets are dead.

A trailer featuring hundreds of exciting scenes from Jodie Comer, while Sandra Oh does nothing again. So predictable. If the writer’s team can only imagine the white character in juicy scenes, they should break the contract with Oh and make the series all about Jodie Comer’s character. It’s just offensive at this point. Don’t get me wrong, I love Jodie Comer, but if the series is about the two women like they promote it, give appropriate material to Eve as well. If I were Sandra Oh, I’d be outraged.

It’s not in the good graces of the forum and the public reception is mixed but for some reason that equates to bad on here. Hopefully this season will change that.

On Sandra’s character, at least wait until the season starts before we get the pitchforks out. The series is based on the novel ‘Villanelle’ so I’m guessing it’s much easier for them to write the juicy arcs for her. Eve is meant to be the mystery seeing as she meant to be you know.. dead.

Did anyone else feel like tonally the trailer looked a lot like S1? The bright colors are back, as are the breezy locations. S2 was kind of grey and dull, visually, I found.

I find it interesting that a producer said the show could continue without one of the two leads, a few months later Sandra Oh gets cast in a Netflix series. What if s3 ends up being her last and the show officialy becomes Jodie Comer’s in s4? Although the show remains called Killing Eve.
