No guest?!?!?! They easily had a shot with Woodard, Cusack, O’Hara, and maybe even Mandavi.
Also, total fraud for putting NPH in lead.June 2, 2017 at 6:57 pm #1202109435
Harris is fine in lead, but no guest is annoying.June 3, 2017 at 12:23 am #1202109612
Harris felt like a total lead to me, so I appreciate the fact that they did not go for the easy road. I’d love to see him nominated.
No guests submitted baffles me. I don’t understand.June 4, 2017 at 4:33 pm #1202110790
If it were up to me O’Hara would have won an emmy in guest so I’m very sad about that not being submitted.June 5, 2017 at 12:25 pm #1202111617
I dont think this was good enough to get any acting nominations, the kids were the best part .. i do think it should get something for its visuals … overall i didnt end up loving the show NPH was a bit grating… I cant see him getting in .

Neil Patrick Harris deserves a nomination but he will not get one.

How come Netflix categorized it as “period piece” if they would campaign the designs under the contemporary categories? They could get away with the costumes since it could go either way but there is NO WAY Bo Welch’s impeccable production design contemporary.
I’m a fan of the film (it should have won art direction and costume design as well at the Oscars that year!) and I thought Jim Carrey was the perfect sinister Olaf but I’m fine that Harris gives his own interpretation to the character. Hope he gets a nod for this.March 21, 2018 at 7:37 am #1202516844
Just thinking about characters that we hopefully will see in season 3 and I think she would be perfect as Fiona (from the one with the submarine)March 21, 2018 at 12:34 pm #1202517064

Is that the one who is pregnant? I can see Williams being her, and her storyline popping up throughout the show until her big moments in season 3. Especially since they are nixing Jacquelyn, who I actually liked from what I remember.

I thought that Fiona was the submarine captain’s daughter.
Based on the first season, I am not sure that they will be able to stick the landing, especially with the source material not really doing so either, but I am curious to see if the greatness of the middle books can transcend any shortcomings of the show to deliver a great second season.
Who says that they are nixing Jacquelyn? That would be nice, but Barry Sonnenfeld said in an interview that her role will actually be expanded this year.
