A Daisy Edgar-Jones nom would be so inspired and welcomed.

Yes. Maybe to Chris Evans but it’s such a baity performance that I’d keep him in.

Pretty much got through all of the viable limited/movie actress contenders. Here is my personal ranking:

    Zoe Kazan
    Aunjanue Ellis
    Regina King
    Daisy Edgar-Jones
    Shira Haas
    Merritt Wever
    Michelle Dockery
    Cate Blanchett
    Reese Witherspoon
    Judith Light
    Joanna Kulig
    Kerry Washington (Little Fires Everywhere)
    Kaitlyn Dever
    Kathryn Hahn
    Octavia Spencer
    Sian Clifford
    Kerry Washington (American Son)
    Sonoya Mizuno
    Helen Mirren

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

Crowe should be winning not missing..

I agree. It’s just I am very surprised he missed out at TCA in favour of Ruffalo and I am starting to question his chances. I mean both him and Ruffalo were in panned or mixed reviewed shows but gave acclaimed performances so the fact he missed makes me question how strong he is.

Maybe I’m overthinking idk. Sometimes I feel we’re underestimating his show heavily, sometimes I feel we’re overestimating it.

It should be getting into Supporting Actress for Sienna Miller but that sadly ain’t happening in a million years.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", AMANDA SEYFRIED FOR "MANK", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

the biggest true for the last months

Anyway, I think the only problem with I Know This Much is True is the fact that didn’t have good audience numbers (and the dark times we are living this year helps the lack of interest too), because a 67 is not that bad, it’s a HBO show with a strong cast and from what I heard the show get better across the season, with great react for the last episode. I still think Ruffalo have good chances for the win.

It will be really sad when The Eddy gets shut out above the line next week. Yes there are criticisms that can be made around the accessibility of the show but it was miles better than stuff like Hollywood and would have been a deserving nominee in Series, Actor, Actress, S. Actress, Writing and Directing.

I mean Joanna Kulig, Andre Holland and Amandla Stenberg wow.

I liked this show so much! Personally it deserves the nomination more than LFE and Defending Jacob.

The show aired a long time ago and they did not care for it, nor was it an auteur passion project.

Totally, I know that she is a long shot, but I cannot not predict her after I watched her performance. People often talk, rightfully, about Mescal and episode 10, but she has both episodes 9 and 11!!! She is magnificent, a force of nature.

It is sad how little seen many of those are, even if it is not something new, dramas are still much more popular than limited series.
