This was everything I hoped it would be. The decision to focus on Patrick only (and the quasi-love triangle) was a very good call. Plus, we got to check in on the others anyway.
Lauren Weedman is gold every second she is onscreen! Likewise, Groff is so authentic and believable here. It shouldn’t be a surprise, but Haigh nails the big scene with Richie and Patrick, and it is exhilarating to watch.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. As I consider this a movie, it will be a MAJOR fixture in my film awards this year. The MC score is a crime, but the critics never really got this show anyway.
