This may have already polled on here so I apologise if that’s the case.

At first glance it may seem obvious that if all three Maisel actresses make the ballot that Maisel fans are going to vote for Borstein. However I’ve seen some people on here say that Lynch would be at the top of their own personal awards list. I personally would vote for Lynch (even though I love Borstein) because I thought she was just incredible in Marvelous Radio and delivered both a truly comical and heartbreaking performance.

In terms of nominations I’d check all three (plus Caroline Aaron) off.

FYC Emmys : THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, SUCCESSION AND THE CROWN IN ALL CATEGORIES. Tony Shalhoub ("Maisel"), Cate Blanchett ("Mrs. America"), Matthew Macfadyen, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook ("Succession"), Tracey Ullman ("Mrs. America") and Louis Gossett Jr. ("Watchmen")

I considered doing this before realizing that Alex Borstein is most likely gonna completely dominate this poll.

Hinkle and Lynch are wonderful, but I have to give it to Borstein. I think she and Shalhoub are in very good positions where they’re internal competition is unlikely to take away too many votes.

I agree with Shalhoub because I can’t see how anyone in their right mind would award Brown, McClain or Zegan over him but with Borstein it’s a bit more uncertain. We know the Television Academy loves Jane Lynch and she won for this role last year in Guest Actress. Whilst you could argue she could be a non factor in the race in the same way Alexis Bledel probably was in Supporting Actress in 2018 I think she has more passion from the Television Academy.

Although then again you could argue this isn’t a question because Borstein got in at SAG whilst Lynch didn’t.
