Kate Winslet is coming for that Emmy. Tonight’s episode was A+.May 16, 2021 at 8:36 pm #1204257899
Kate Winslet is one of the best actresses of our generation hands down. She needs another Emmy and Oscar ASAPMay 16, 2021 at 8:39 pm #1204257909
Oh and for the record, the audience is up again for the fifth straight week! Talk about longevity! It started with 1,2 million views and now more than 2,5 million by episode 5May 16, 2021 at 8:39 pm #1204257911
When I say I laughed so hard when it happened 💀 I knew it was going to happen eventually but the way it did took me out. Kinda expected bigger from the reactions from Joyce and Riley but I guess it’s because I was already expecting it at some point. Don’t know why it would turn people off tbh lol.May 16, 2021 at 8:47 pm #1204257925
GREAT EPISODE BUT WHAT IS GON HAPPEN NOW 😭
This would’ve been suuuuuuch a winning tape for Kate Winslet if her category had submissions.
It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!May 16, 2021 at 8:48 pm #1204257927
Okay, I now no longer want Anya and TQG to win. Sorry Netflix, at least you’ll still have The Crown sweep.
Emmys FYC: Ruth Wilson (His Dark Materials); Moses Ingram, Isla Johnston and Harry Melling (The Queen's Gambit); Enid Graham and Cailee Spaeny (Mare of Easttown)May 16, 2021 at 8:51 pm #1204257938
Sorry, Anya. La Winslet isn’t allowing a sweep to happen this year.May 16, 2021 at 10:05 pm #1204257972
Don’t know why it would turn people off tbh lol.
Seems that it did not turn anyone off, but people have been so invested, coming up with their theories and then for this guy to appear out of nowhere and that all to go down so quickly, I was concerned that people would consider it a copout.May 16, 2021 at 10:27 pm #1204257997
Im so upset. Was my fave character and had so much love and light to give.
I AM NOT OKAY
A little bit of Magic never hurt anybody.

I guess I’m watching a different show than all of you because I really don’t see where all of this confidence in Kate is coming from. The performance is fine but really nothing special.May 17, 2021 at 1:02 am #1204258069
Love the Silence of the Lambs vibe. Very good episode with a surprising denouement…May 17, 2021 at 3:31 am #1204258120
I’ve just binged all episodes in 2 days. Soooo good. Another masterclass from a veteran actor. This is the year the experts beat the shiny newcomers, your can’t compare Kate with Anya what’s her face, sorry. Loving the Twin Peaks meets Silence of the Lambs meets True Detective vibes. So bleak and gives a foreigner like me some greater insight into the USA (and the projection and misdirection of the MAGA crowd around child sex abuse and kidnapping). And goddam Jean Smart is amazing to watch. Did anyone catch her ducking in the frame of the closing door in this episode? I lol-ed. Literally something my needy mother would also do. And I shouted – SHOUTED – at the tv when that big thing happened tonight.
Timeline suggests Mare’s son could be the baby’s father btw. But my money’s not even on Dylan as the killer. We know it’s a man and we know it’s someone Erin would believe is soliciting her for paid sex or handing over money. Like a Ross, or Frank, who’s maybe the baby’s grandfather.May 17, 2021 at 4:28 am #1204258137
I understand that the focus is on those last fifteen minutes right now, but my God this was a masterful episode prior to that rollercoaster ending. Ingelsby and Zobel have created the kind of show that so expertly entangles the overarching mystery with down-to-earth character-driven moments that vary from hilarious to heartbreaking. In this episode alone, you’ve got Winslet at the therapist’s office, in the car after the funeral, on the date with Zabel and of course the finale. The range is spectacular, and the softer (and truly hysterical) moments do nothing to detract from the really shocking, disturbing and heartbreaking parts. It is just kind of a marvel. I love that the show doesn’t feel the need to pack on any filler and we have a real concrete focus for the final two episodes, and how many red flags are going up all over the place to keep us guessing until the end. More than a little shook by how great this is.May 17, 2021 at 5:25 am #1204258149
I’ll be so disappointed if Guy Pearce turns out to be a psycho writer just collecting fodder for his next novel.May 17, 2021 at 6:46 am #1204258187
It puzzles me how Guy Pearce is such a famous actor in a small role. Same with Julianne Nicholson being so prominent in the credits.
I mean granted we just saw The Undoing over hype Lily Rabe and Edgar Ramirez’s involvement but that show was ridiculous so I dare not go further but I’m literally sitting on my couch each week saying this lol:
FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")
