At least he had a kiss on his last day. Good for him.

This show is a sitcom and nobody will tell me otherwise
That scene at the car between mother and daughter Jean and Winslet after the funeral. I was literally bursting out loud.

In the school cafeteria scene, the little boy beats the bully with a lunch tray, and that action is mirrored in the last scene when Mare hits the killer with some kind of metal sheet. The scene in the cafeteria was heartbreaking and the scene at the decrepit tavern was …

I was so stoke with the last sequence of this episode that I didn’t even care for the fact that the kidnapper was someone not previously on the show.

Fantastic directing, gave me real chills, I was up and walking those last minutes. Kate Winslet is an ACTING GODDESS!

To be honest I’m still shaking.
My god what an episode, i rewatched earlier and it’s unbelievable.
I will root for Winslet on this one, all that ending scene was so fucking great and she delivered.

I don’t know what to say, I’m just speechless lol. Ow, and Jean Smart is a treasure, her scenes are always comic gold.

This past episode still holds a 9.6 on IMDb and now has 1.2k ratings. That’s incredible. I am curious to see how many people tuned in, given that the viewership has been increasing from week to week. This is such a word-of-mouth hit. I can’t even open Twitter on Mondays because everyone is watching and discussing this show.

I personally feel like the show kicked into high gear rather abruptly. I’m enjoying it enough that I don’t care, despite all of its cliches. I will say that there are a lot of narrative threads, and I’m not convinced that the show will be able to resolve them all, but we’ll see.

So fu****g good!!! Nothing like a weekly watch of a good drama with terrific twists!!! Kate Winslet is an acting BEAST! Evan Peters is worldwide treasure! 😍👑

And sorry if this offends anyone, but the people that still support the Netflix model of dropping all episodes at once are just tasteless.

It is not a question of taste for a person to prefer the binge model than the traditional weekly rollout. However, Emmy voters have shown this award goes to shows that build momentum with weekly viewing (Chernobyl, ACS: Gianni Versace, Watchmen) than nominated “drop at once” options (When They See Us, Godless, Unbelievable).

Forget taste, it’s straightforward marketing. If it’s a good show, why get 1 week of buzz when you can get 6 weeks or more? Mare of Easttown or anything on HBO or BBC gets my attention when I see hype building on these pages. The Crown doesn’t need anyone’s help but i also wish we could have weekly water cooler conversations about each episode/event.

I’m inclined to agree, even the first ever streaming Series winner was a weekly rollout (The Handmaid’s Tale).

Emmys FYC | Alan Tudyk in “Resident Alien” | Jennifer C. Holmes in “This Is Us” | Ego Nwodim in “Saturday Night Live” | Kaley Cuoco in “Harley Quinn” | “Dickinson” | “P-Valley” | “Pose” | “Superstore”

Not Zabel! I’m gutted. I might be in the minority, but I really liked him and Mare together. That moment they shared by the water was so sweet and genuine. I wonder if she’ll sort of just bounce back next week or if his death will take a toll on her. She’s already been through enough.

That last sequence was absolutely riveting though, and as much as it hurts in the moment, I like when shows don’t necessarily make their protagonists bullet proof (for lack of a better word, lol).

I lost it at the funeral/affair reveal. Jean Smart is a treasure and it was great to see Mare laughing. I also loved Lori’s son sticking up for his sister in the cafeteria, and fuck Lori’s husband. She deserves better!

I can’t believe we still have two more episodes after all that went down this week, but I’m kind of glad that Erin’s murder isn’t connected to the kidnapping of the other two girls. I hope they manage to stick the landing because this has been amazing so far.

Craig Zobel nailed it. What an episode. He deserves a Directing nomination for sure.

Evan Peters better be nominated. What a great, underappreciated actor. Can’t believe Marvel used him to make a dick joke.

I just love how this show can be so comedic at times lmao.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")
