I also just want him to get his long-overdue nomination SO bad.

The idea of him and Lily Rabe FINALLY getting their overdue noms NEEDS to become a reality.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

I would laugh so hard if both of them are nominated this year. All the the work they’ve put in AHS!

Rabe should have swept for Asylum.

The bar playing Mr. Brightside is the most realistic ever depicted on television.

Oh also, Evan Peter’s drunk acting at the bar was A+. Whew!

Episode 3 should be his Emmy submission just for that scene alone. Flawlessly acted.

When Zobel starts contemplating what he’s done with his life, that should be shown in acting classes to teach drunk-ness.

Emmys FYC: Alan Tudyk in “Resident Alien”, Billie Piper in “I Hate Suzie”, Ego Nwodim in “Saturday Night Live”, Kaley Cuoco in “Harley Quinn”

“Dickinson”, “P-Valley”, “Pose” & “Superstore” in all categories

i think what award analytic miss understand about Emmy is the date ..Emmy it self doesnt like oscar who used award & festival season as their barometer whos gonna win…the award season it self far from Emmy ceremony begin..thats the point …you’l gonna find another great TV show after These ( GG, SAG, etc) award season…

If this was the case then Shira Haas would have beaten Regina King last year.

Huh? This user wasn’t even making any sort of prediction. All he/she/they said was that precursor season has a different meaning to the Oscars than it does to the Emmys, which is 100% true.

The truth! That’s the quintessential song that plays at any bar in the US lol, at least from my own experience. Only thing that was missing was a myriad of people screaming along to it.

Its always great to see Kate Winslet get great reviews in a great project. I’m happy for her. I’m a big fan.

    Pls…

It’s not only in the US. That song is a massive hit in the UK. The lockdown was kind of relieving for my sleep because I live in a flat just across the road from a bar and honestly, I have the voices of a crowd drunk singing along whenever that song comes into my head instead of Brandon Flowers lol.

Anyway sorry about my anecdote! Great piece of music supervision!

Haha I didn’t mean that it was only a hit in the US. I just meant that the show is based in the US and I live in nyc so I can only speak from experiences there. It’s the best though so I’m glad it’s alive and well in the UK too!

It’s a little generic, but I’ve been enjoying this show so far. Kate is marvellous in the role. I’m glad she finally catched a nice project for her, after a decade with so many dissapointments.

No one is beating ATY, but If Kate has a big scene towards the end, I can see her beign second ahead of Michaela Cohen.

I will say that out of the first three episodes, this should be a strong contender for Winslet’s Emmy clip. It’s not a particularly “loud” piece of acting but it’s just the way that her performance makes you feel how her son’s suicide and her desire to do well by her grandson are eating away at this woman is just so impressive. There are no melodramatic outbursts in the scene and you almost forget that you’re watching Kate Winslet act. You just see this woman in pain.

It may well have happened aplenty in other shows before but I have to say I was astonished to see Mare have her badge and gun taken away in episode 3! The show has really kept me guessing in terms of where it’s going to go next, it’s so revelatory to me. I assume that she is going to continue unofficially cracking the case, but it’s a really interesting plot development.

Love how word of mouth buzzy this has become, friends and family and colleagues are all talking about it.
