Preach, Tyler. She’s great. Amazing, in fact. She isn’t unrecognizable at all, but I do have to constantly remind myself that it’s Jean Smart on the screen. She embodies that role so effortlessly.

The show has “Mare” in the title. It’s a show about Mare. Smart is playing a supporting character. That’s it, there’s no “waste”.

The way Kate is stomping on her competition. We stan.

Loved episode 4. And that twist at the end… really great.

Enid Graham had a great arc as Dawn in this episode. Really made me sympathize with her. Jean Smart is literally a guilty pleasure. Her screen presence is just so brilliant. As for Kate Winslet, I want her to pull off an upset just like I wanted Cate Blanchett to pull off one last year. I also want to take a minute to appreciate the humor in this show. Witty and effective yet subtle. But I do think this episode was structurally a little bit messy.

Episode 4 was good, but I’d rather see flashbacks about Erin than Siobhan’s romance life. I don’t know why try to make us relate with such an unlikable character and that was a dick move with Becky.

Also did not like they trying to make us feel bad about Dylan, because I’m not. Fuck him.

After watching the episode I think Evan Peters, and not Jean Smart, could be the Supporting performance recognized from the show.

And Mare + Zabel ? WTF ? I kept waiting for the punchline of a joke about The Reader.

And, of course, Erin’s murder is obviously completely unrelated to Katie and Missy. I think a random character is the kidnapper. I think Erin was killed by Freddy (the drug addicted guy) in a robbery by accident and the deacon helped him to dispose the body.

I’m not sure, maybe when he was about to kidnap Erin things got wrong (somebody was close or something) and then he had to kill her.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

This show is wild, so good
Kate Winslet is EATING UP and i want her to upset right now.

Jean Smart is doing a job to me that’s closer to Sutherland in The Undoing in terms of character, but obviously she is doing way better so i would support her nomination for this.

    For Your Emmy Consideration:
Matthew Rhys for "Perry Mason" | Ethan Hawke for "The Good Lord Bird", THE GOOD LORD BIRD in ALL CATEGORIES | Elizabeth Olsen and Kathryn Hahn for "Wandavision" | Tobias Menzies for "The Crown" | MJ Rodriguez for "Pose" | Jane Levy for "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist"

I REALLY enjoyed the latest episode. The show excels at cultivating empathy for its characters, rather than merely using the townsfolk as a backdrop to its central mystery.

I feel like I know who the killer is now after the latest episode….and it’s not a religious figure

Jean Smart deserves to be nominated solely for the way she furiously plays Fruit Ninja.

Emmy FYC!!: Chloe Sevigny (We Are Who We Are), MJ Rodriguez (Pose), Billy Porter (Pose), Emma Corrin (The Crown), Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), Maya Erskine (Pen15), Anna Konkle (Pen15), Naomi Ackie (Master of None), Thuso Mbedu (The Underground Railroad), Kate Winslet (Mare of Easttown), Michaela Coel (I May Destroy You)

it’s kinda out there and very messed up but it’s hbo lol: something about Dylan is very off. Like Perry in big little lies off. So I’m thinking he is the big bad tbh. It’s either him or Brianna, who is equally as shady to me. My third choice is Dylan’s dad And also the fact that he’s not at the hospital at the same time that Missy is being kidnapped, whereas Dylan’s mother is makes it even more suspect to me. They just strike me as the shadiest ones there in general. NOW my friends are convinced that it’s the writer and won’t be convinced otherwise and they figured out the big twist this week on svu organized crime so maybe they are on to something lol 😂
