I agree it is one of the best shows this season. It deserves nominations in all major categories. Groff, McCallany and Torv are absolutely outstanding. Torv is my #2 this year (Vanessa Kirby is #1). Groff is #4 (Gleeson, Schreiber, Sutherland and Treadaway are ahead of him). And Britton deserves a fucking win in guest category. It kills me Stranger Thins and GoT are gonna be showered with nominations while this show probably gets nada. Oh, and Anna Torv and Carrie Coon are the same person.
Agree with all of this. Especially Britton, he should be a lock.

Netflix is even trotting him out with the three leads for the show’s academy FYC event next week. He reminds me more of Laurie Metcalf than Lois Smith. The love for this performance on a debut season is so overwhelming that it compensates for any other shortcoming, be it not being famous (Britton) or not being on a show that the academy cares about (Horace and Pete).
Torv need a Nora Durst type of character, she deserve a big and loud role to show everyone how amazing she is.
She led Fringe for a hundred episodes.

I know this and Fringe is one of my favorite shows ever.

In fact, it is the only screener that Emmy voters have received that is not just a standard square or a rectangle with DVDs inside, which actually says a lot more about how lazy everyone else has been. If you do not think that an interesting box makes a difference, then I need to remind you that Beasts of No Nation got a SAG ensemble nomination for three people because its screener packaging had technology from the future. Looks like the only cast members that they are submitting are Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Anna Torv, Hannah Gross and Cameron Britton. The finale is their only writing submission and they are not submitting their ASC-nominated pilot for cinematography. They are submitting all four directors. McCallany is no longer a dark horse for a nomination because they are submitting him in lead. Browse the envelope:
